Sinister even when it’s slyly winking at its audience, it’s a satisfying meal of tasty horror cheese.


Dangerous Animals has sharp teeth. Even better, it knows how to use them.

It doesn’t exactly set sail for uncharted territories, but it does make for a perfectly satisfying (dis)pleasure cruise.

Dangerous Animals meets all of the rubric criteria for not just a great shark film, but a fantastic time at the theater during the summer movie season.

Byrne's knack for building suspense pays off in spades here. It certainly doesn't hurt that he's got two standout performances from Jai Courtney and Hassie Harrison as well.

Treats its viewers to a better time than its protagonist has.

It’s a riveting, bloody, mean little thrill ride that moves faster than a mako and is guaranteed to have audiences screaming.

A serial killer thriller/shark movie/true romance, Dangerous Animals might juggle too many elements in its straightforward, breakneck path, but it's an entertaining B-movie buoyed by Hassie Harrison's enjoyable lead performance.
