audience Reviews
, 34% Audience Score- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsAt its core this movie is somewhat entertaining and has a good premise but it lacked execution and is also pretty dumb. The family we are introduced to at the start, we don’t see their reaction when the Russian woman is kidnapped? Like why bother introducing those characters and then the son is seen watching the live stream we don’t see a shock reaction about the fact it’s his mum on the stream he just shuts his iPad and we never see him again?!? The worst part was some of the timing like the swat team saying they were 2 mins away and then all of a sudden out of their cars and at a warehouse within 30 movie seconds (I know because there is a timer) and many more which involve spoilers. It felt slightly rushed and I wish we had less police scenes it felt like a Saw film in that aspect without the really thrilling in-between. *slight spoiler* the movie set up for a second which I don’t think will happen with these reviews but no clue where they’d go from here. But yeh if you’ve got time to kill give it a watch as there are some entertaining scenes but it really could’ve been more like if they had a live audience that would’ve been cool or if the Russian roulette scenes were dragged out a bit more it would’ve been better.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI would totally disagree with the low star reviews. Being a thriller and horror fanatic I havent been gripped to a film in so long and it was absolutely brilliant. It gave me the gripping feeling of saw, but more realistic and real life. Felt like an American production which was brilliant also. Gripping from start to finish and I thought it was very real life and different. Would watch again and hope theres a second movie.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsHorrible ending, badly directed
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI really enjoyed watching this movie and I think that it’s a very great movie.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsAgree the presenter is a weak character and could have added so much more. Cinematic direction is total mince, acting in the main poor, and whilst there were some new ideas weak script and a well thought out plot and story timeline let's it down.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsAn absolute monstrosity of a film. I had Jaws 3 as the worst film I've ever watched until I wasted an hour and a half watching this. Ed Westwick has to be the worst actor of all time. Pinnochio is less wooden than him. Shame as the storyline was ok. What's even worse is it left the possibility of a sequel. Surely not!!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOverall I really enjoyed this! If you like crime and thrillers I think this is a film for you, don’t let the reviews stop you from watching, make your own mind up!! The ending makes you guess there is going to be a part 2
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars**SPOILERS** I at first thought this film was satire due to the cheesy lines and overly burdened lead detective. As well as the con that made a rather self aware comment “is that how you seriously talk for real? It’s just like the movies”. The script is awful, terrible lines and delivery, the lead is constantly sad/troubled in a over the top manner. I genuinely enjoy “bad” movies but this was just … bad. There’s little to no character development for anyone apart from Katia - even then it was very surface level - which stops you from caring about what’s happening. I hope it is satire but either way it didn’t land for me. Apparently this was low budget but I have seen some amazing things done on a low budget, so I don’t believe this is an excuse.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThe ending is shocking. There’s no ending and just leaves you with no outcome. The whole film is about the police trying to catch who was making the videos but even at the end you don’t get to find out. You don’t know the outcome of them sending the dolls to his home where his pregnant partner is? Bit of a waste of time. Not worth the watch.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsDon't waste your time. Such a badly written plot, awful actors and terrible lines.
