Really really good movie, highly recommend 10/10, watched it with my mom and sister for movie night and it was just really good, funny, emotional, not fast and not slow, it was perfect. P.S. Nai Nai the goat

It doesn't shy away from showing the everyday awkwardness and struggles of growing up, the narrative isn't exactly anything new in the genre, yet there's something you can't really pinpoint in <i>Didi</i> here that makes it feel so genuine and relatable that outshines others.

A great coming of age story period.

This is nothing like other great skate/coming of age films like mid90s, skate kitchen, north hollywood, kids, or so, but pretends to be. The main character is insufferable: he keeps telling lies all the time, treats his mom and sister in a terrible way, when he tells the squirell story ends up calling names the girls for no reason. It feels long, boring, and pretentious. Has every cliché from a coming of age film, but without any grace of deepness. The "jokes" are terrible, photo is average and relies SO MUCH in 2000s nostalgia just to catch the feelings of millennials. Bad movie with no soul, no rhythm, no charisma.

A good, fresh film in terms of the coming-of-age genre

For anyone who's ever been a teenager. Dìdi (Chinese: lit. 'Younger Brother') is a 2024 American coming-of-age comedy drama film, written, directed, and produced by Sean Wang in his directorial debut 👦🏻 Can’t recommend it. Meh, it passed the time. Sort of. 😕 In 2008, during the last month of summer before high school begins, an impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy learns what his family can't teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love your mom.

Excellent Asian American coming of age drama, sibling rivalry, absent father and trying to figure out who you are - really well done.

Mid movie like the fake reviews.

In my opinion it’s a ok/good movie. Some parts I found very cringey to even watch.
