**Descendants 2 – 2.5/5** As a Disney fan, I’ve always wanted to check this out, and while I love the plot of Descendants 2, the storyline just didn’t work for me. Mainly because... I’m not into Mal. Dove Cameron is overacting the entire time, and centering the whole movie around her wasn’t the best choice. Her performance didn’t hook me, and it made parts of the movie drag. The production somehow looks cheaper than the first film, but the character designs are still great, and I loved all the Easter eggs and references. The songs are well-made and sung beautifully, but none of them stuck with me. It’s less captivating than the original, and I found it boring at times. That final act, though? It saved the movie from being a 2-star for me. Exactly what I expected overall, but not as good as the first. On to the next one!

Bigger and badder than the first and jam-packed with action, outstanding, fun music, brilliant performances and sweet moves. Best out of the Descendants movies

This movie is fantastic! I can't even begin to describe how good this movie was!! Like the plot twist? Phenomenal! The romance and drama and stakes and action and plot? Chef's kiss! :)

In this Disney Channel original sequel, Mel is having difficulties adjusting to life as a good guy and returns to the Island of the Lost. Her boyfriend Ben and her friend go after her but have to deal with Uma, the daughter of Urzula, Harry the son of Captain Hook and Gil, the son of Gaston. The problems the previous movie had were dealt with here. We do not deal with the parents of the kids at all, so the tone has a more even feel. “Chillin’ Like a Villain” is a bagger of a song and the choreography for “You and Me” with the water was very creative. We also get a little more Dianne Doan as Lonnie. However, this is still a Disney Channel movie and as such you have to lower a few expectations. Set design, while creative, had noticeable budget constraints and some acting was wooden or inconsistent. There were also quite a few plot conveniences. On the whole, I would recommend a single viewing.

It’s as bad as the first one. Uma should’ve just got octopus legs, not also with two legs. And the dog’s voice is annoying. Also, Ursula was supposed to be dead! Gaston too! Watch the Disney classics!

Roteiro bobinho. Bonitinho e ordinário.

Amazing sequel, honestly better than the first and third movie. Great costumes, amazing music and great performances from the actors and especially from the characters. China really made this movie the movie it is.
