Die Hart the Movie

This movie, most of which unfolds in the Action Star School, has lots of laugh-out-loud moments. At 120 minutes it runs out of ideas towards the end, but overall it remains an amusing entertainment.

The movie lacks the savagery and bite of the shorter, more focused episodes of the small-screen series that spawned it.

It doesn't take a genius to point out the cliches of action movies, and there's a lack of any kind of next-level to the humor.

It's kind of a one-note joke... But there's an incredible joy in watching Kevin Hart wink at the audience and satirize his own image.

Eric Appel’s film was first released in 2020 as a series of short pieces for streaming, and it gains nothing in being served up in one go.
