This movie turned out to be a lot better than I expected. I especially liked the first half of the movie, but then it got a little too unbelievable. It's still an entertaining movie with a good cast and lots of action.

This movie was good and I really liked it

After being entertained and impressed by the first Don't Breathe movie, I was left feeling distinctly underwhelmed by this sequel. I found Stephen Lang much more compelling as the resourceful and relentless antagonist (in the original film) than as an avenging angel archetype on a redemption arc. He's still easily the best part of Don't Breathe 2, but this time the villains are generic lowlife thugs that we've seen in a million movies before, nothing distinctive about them to scare the audience in a new way. Overall this movie felt a little uninspired, as if nobody quite knew where to take Lang's character next, and someone settled for this.

This movie wasn't as good as the first one but it does its job. It's tense and there's more action Good movie

First one was okay, something new, I guess a sequel could be okay... A shakier story that is somehow less plausible than it's predecessor despite being in a less confined setting and with broader ramifications. Unfortunately, the larger story is less impactful than the more insightful backstory of the predecessor. Too many holes this time around, but still mildly entertaining enough.

An unfortunate letdown compared to the first one. The first one was a magnificent piece in that it not only emphasizes thriller, but there were heavy components of horror that caught my attention every second. From that film, I had a couple scares that got me mind-blown. I gave this film a try as Stephen Lang reprised his role. The only good things I can say about this film was that his acting did not disappoint as it showed a contrast of how he looked like a ruthless figure in the first one to a more caring fatherly figure in this one, caring for Phoenix. The child actress that played Phoenix did a decent job in using emotions to portray this character. Unfortunately, the huge let down is that there isn't enough horror component, and that it doesn't portray the name Don't Breathe like in the first one. I would watch it if they do a third one, but this one did not provide a fresh impression.

A sequel that had so much potential but absolutely fell FLAT. They tried to redeem the villain of the last movie, or at least show him in a sympathetic light, but for a character like him it simply does not work. The protagonists of the previous movie certainly weren't good people, however the most reprehensible one was killed fairly early in the movie, and the other two were leaning far more on the morally grey side. Meanwhile our 'dear' protagonist in this movie, and yes I say that with sarcasm, (spoilers for the first movie by the way) had kidnapped and technically raped a woman to try and have a new kid for him, and then tried again to do that to the female protagonist. If they were going to have him be the protagonist they shouldn't have tried to paint him as a sympathetic or good character.
