Don't Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever
audience Reviews
, 53% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsBryan Johnson is a damaged individual who genuinely believes that spending every waking moment taking a wardrobe of pills, injecting his pallid body with drug cocktails and filming every second of his peculiar lifestyle he'll escape death. The one aspect he hasn't elected to examine is his mental health, which this documentary chooses to ignore. It's quite interesting up to a point, but he's just not a very interesting person.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsSpoiler, he will eventually die.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA well balanced doc that simultaneously explores the lunacy and genius of Bryan Johnson, in his quest for prolonged life, and companionship.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMethodological insights as well as an unusual look into Johnson's personal life. An excellent complement thought not a replacement for the rest of Johnson's work on longevity and his writing on the future of humanity.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBryan is unique. And I'm glad he shares his journey with the world! Enjoy blueprint and his movement
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIt's amazing, the dedication, the sacrifice to overcome something that seems like an insult to me, the time.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsInteresting story. The thing that strikes me the most is how he relates to his son almost like a lover. There is something off there.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsAn interesting topic but not an interesting guy. Great pains were taken to make him likeable and relatable but I found him neither; his relationship with his son was sad and verging on creepy. And what an odd looking dude! The film completely misses the fact that globally short life spans are largely a result of poverty, war, lack of access to clean drinking water etc. not just lack of access to preventative healthcare. how exactly will discovering the secret to immorality help anyone but the monied, privileged 1%? We already know life can be extended for example, by not smoking so why is there practically a smoking epidemic in several Asian countries? This guy has just replaced one god for another; his body is his new temple. Maybe his time would be better spent studying Eastern philosophy and easing his mind. Dying is part of living and many philosophies understand and embrace it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starshmmmmmmmmmm all I’ll say is that I personally think they spent a little too much time talking about his son hmmmmmmmmmm
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsA rich man who has dealt with his depression by focusing on his physical health. Working out, eating right & sleeping enough should be everyone's focus. This person goes way, way further, using supplements that may harm him.
