Double Team

Filme bacana, o roteiro é bacaninha, as cenas são bacanas com várias explosões, a história é fraca, o elenco é bacaninha, e só jean Claude Van Damme junto com o Dennis rodman ajudaram a melhorar o filme, os personagens são bacaninhas, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, e a parte final do filme que foi no coliseu ficou muito boa e terminou o filme de uma forma legal.

1997 such a great film year. And it would have be quite a year without a film from the muscles from Brussels himself., Van Damme. Double team is a film that's full of action, comedy, and a mean villain played by Mickey Rourke. Tayin Hark is great with the action sequences and adds a lot of Asian flavor to it. The European locations are very nice. The movie is kind of rushed, but there's something lost in translation I just can't understand is that I think maybe Rodman's character was written for someone else? I think he's very able in the film, but it would've benefited from another actor and that's where the movie suffers. But the worm is charming, while Van Dam seems very engaged, Overall good for a Friday night rental or stream. 👍

I think this movie's fantastic. It somehow balances so much ridiculous over the top nonsense without falling apart. The cast is great. The director is great. Choreography is insane. It's pretty obviously not Citizen Kane but it absolutely is a whole lot of fun. If you're looking for an actually bad movie check out "Napoleon" with Joaquin Phoenix.

Rodman JCVD I wish I knew how to quit you.

Flying Cola machines and the decadence and presence of one Dennis Rodman, Double Team is nothing if not entertaining as Tsui Hark crafts one of the dumbest and yet purest action movies ever. This incoherent James Bond-ish fantastical yarn radiates with accidental gay energy and endless quips, basketball-related or otherwise, as Van Damme and Rodman sleepwalk their way through the movie yet deliver continuous laughs in what looks like a 90s X-Men comic brought to life. Devoid of any form of logic, Double Team is the best kind of ridiculous in which Rodman's hair covers all known colours of the spectrum and JCVD fights a tiger.

Minha opinião: Um dos filmes do auge Van Damme, na década de 90. Um filme cheio de ação e com toque de humor com Rodman muito legal. A estória conta de Van que quer se aposentar da sua vida de Agente, mas um dos seus últimos trabalho era pegar Rocker, mas não dá certo e o filho dele morre. E Van acorda um uma ilha onde agentes dados como mortos e não estão são colocados na ilha para continuar trabalhando para o governo de forma secreta. O porem é quem Van tem uma esposa que esta grávida e Rocker esta livre e quer vingança. Então Van tem que encontrar uma forma de fugir da Colonia e salvar sua esposa e filho que irá nascer das mãos de Rocker. Assim ele arma uma forma para fugir e vai a caça de Rocker e de sua esposa. Até que no auge do final eles estão em um campo minado com tigre. Quem vencerá este ultimo embate? Um filme cheio de ação, tiros e lutas. A boa forma tanto de Van, Rocker e Rodman. Deixa o filme top. Para uma época de cabra macho. Mesmo assistindo hoje 2022 é muito divertido assistir. #Recomendo Roteiro: bom Vale apena assistir? Sim Nota: 8

Bom, se você conseguir engolir os efeitos finais e o escape ileso ao fogaréu master, consegue degustar um bom filme de ação dos anos noventa com o nosso queridinho gostosão Van Dame, legalzinho, funciona melhor como ação que suspense, provavelmente por isso agradou me tão pouco… Regular...

Boy, this movie is... a lot. Starts out normal (retired hero called back to get one last bad guy). Then stuff blows up, a little kid is killed in crossfire, JCVD ends up on some island out of "The Prisoner," then it goes back to typical JCVD action scenes. Mickey Rourke is the big bad. Dennis Rodman is an arms dealer. Paul Freeman (hello, Belloq!) show up. The movie is bad. Real bad. But at least it's entertainingly bad.

I didn't know it was even possible. But I guess with enough money, a world-class horrible script, some really funky camera work, and of course Dennis, it is possible to make one of the worst movies of all time. Movies like this one make Steve Segal really proud of all his direct-to-video movies.

General audiences when it comes to movies they focus ln the story since it's a storytelling medium the problem with this is that sometimes movies whose stories are not that strong, but whose technical ascpect are remarkable tend to be overlooked. This is specially the case with action movies and horror movies. Double Team does have a weak story with lines delivered in such uninspired way, nevertheless the construction of the action scenes is superb. I was amazed at the camera work as well as action performances. A dumb fun movie that is more entertaining for those people that like JVC/ 80s-90s action movies. Mickey Rourke was jammed! Great performance as the bad guy. The action scene with the tiger is full of jolly vibes.
