Not sure what’s going on here with other reviews. This movie was unique, beautifully acted, thought provoking, funny and a condemnation of human nature, which even in a new setting manages to screw up. Best film I’ve seen in a long time.

This is the second time I have watched this movie. The first time I turned it off. The second time I watched it all thecway through and fell in ove with the movie. The lady from Vietnam added to its greatness and left me feeling all sorts of emotions. There are depths of meaning and beautiful moments. For me this is a great movie. It just goes to show that sometimes beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Cannot understand why people do not like this film, its a slow starter but unlike anything I have seen before, the second half is very thought invoking and very sweet. If every human watched this film the world would be a much nicer place. I would not really call it sci-fi other than the people shrinking that is it, not would I call it comedy as it is not a laugh out loud film rather amusing and feel good. Its one of those films that does not fit into a genre and is unlike anything else but will leave an impression on you. I loved it and so did my partner, it made us smile and realise how lucky we all are. Give it go you will not regret it :-)

Like WonkaVision meets ReformUK, as mad as it sounds.

Quite unrealistic. There are many assumptions shout the economy that make no sense. What benefits do you actually get from downsizing? Also too much failed social commentary in 1 movie.

The only redeeming aspect of this movie is that I got to see Christoph Waltz act in it. Everything else is just terrible, its like they had a premise of an idea and then realised there was nowhere to go with it beyond the first 30 minutes. What an absolute waste of time. In fact it was so bad it compelled me to make an account on this site.

Great concept, cast and effects, it starts well, really interesting and humorous but then lost its way, the second half could be a totally different film. I thought he was going to keep the humanity storyline going and change the lives of those living the other side of the wall, ….so that being little really does differ from being big. Also the scientist felt bad for what she went through ….. I guess he doesn’t know she’s now living in a ghetto ? Made no sense. Easy watch but it could have been great

I found this film to be incredibly sloooow and uninvolving. Possibly the shrinking people concept might have sounded promising on paper but, in my opinion, the film didn't work at all, especially stretched over two and a quarter hours. And I found that a particular actor's voice in the last half hour to be the most annoying I've ever heard. The film ended with a whimper. To summarise in one word: boring.
