The cinematography alone is worth the watch. A must-see for any film-buffs, especially those studying the art.

An absolute 4/5 for me. The aesthetics of this movie is really "something".

A film that speaks through its striking visuals, Drive is a viscerally enthralling experience, not to mention its splendid cast.

Overrated. Awkward. Unique visuals brought down by bad dialogue and worse direction.

Drive (2011) A Driver without a Name (11,682 – 19 May 2012 / 09 May 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) In Los Angeles, a mysterious driver (Ryan Gosling) is a man of few words that works as a garage mechanic for his only friend Shannon (Bryan Cranston); stuntman in Hollywood films; and driver of getaway car in heists. One day, he helps his neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), whose husband is in prison, and her son Benicio (Kaden Leos) and her falls in love with her. However, a few days later her husband Standard Gabriel (Oscar Isaac) is released from prison and they meet each other in the building. Standard is pressed by the criminal Cook (James Biberi) to rob a pawn shop to pay for the protection he had in prison, and the driver decides to help him driving the getaway car. However, the heist does not work as planned, Standard is murdered, and the driver discovers that they have been double-crossed by Cook. Further, the money belongs to the Mafia and now he has to protect Irene and Benicio from the mobsters. "Drive" is a good thriller with the lead character without a name, recalling the style of Clint Eastwood in "High Plains Drifter" in the role of "The Stranger" - a man that speaks a few words only, violent when necessary, that protects innocent and beloved people. The film is weirdly attractive with potential of cult movie. The stylish cinematography discloses in an adequate pace the big picture and develops characters very well. The conclusion has an open end, a characteristic that has been forgotten by Hollywood. My vote is eight. Title (Brazil): "Drive" My Blog: https://maniacosporfilme.wordpress.com/

"I really felt something watching this... it touched my emotions on many levels in many scenes. The cinematography is also well above average (it's amazing at points). The cast is a preview into the Major Stars of the future as well. It came and went very quickly on the mainstream distribution but it is well worth seeing even in 2025" - Editor

Hands down, the best movie of Gosling.

This is probably one of the best movies of the millennial generation. The main character has a lot of depth, even though he doesn't say much. Sometimes silence speaks louder than words.

One of my favorite movies ever made! It has a 10 out of 10 soundtrack, exceptional performances from the leads, and incredible action scenes. I love how much information is given by subtle facial expressions, hand gestures, and small visual cues. This is an absolute must watch.

An excellent movie I've seen more than once. All the acting was good and Carrie Muligan looked amazing (though her character seemingly didn't intend to and perhaps didn't even know it). The script was fresh and new; just writing this review makes me want to enjoy it again.
