This movie doesn't stand out in any aspect, nor does it innovate in any way. I'm not saying that it necessarily needs to do so, as it manages to entertain and keep the viewer engaged, which is ultimately what it aims for. The movie has humor that is sometimes not funny at all, while at other times it can elicit a few laughs from an adult audience. The characters are nothing new or extraordinary, but they serve their purpose. It's an acceptable start if the goal is to create a movie franchise in the style of the MCU, although it needs improvement in some aspects. Recommended for a casual afternoon.

Perfect DnD movie. I am an active DnD player and this movie is pure fanservice. It is funny, characters are good written, CGI is nice. And... I went for my first date with my fionce to see this movie. I may be biased.

Dungeons & Dragons They have a very nice cast, the story is very fun and brilliant. This film has a very simple but fantastic medieval mix, it is a film that has no flaws.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Theives was by far the best fantasy film of the decade. From the comedy to the dialog this movie brought a sense of charm. The acting was fanouminal and gave me a excitement I never knew I had. Provo!!!

A Fantasy Comedy Classic. Who the heck would think something based on a board game could be this good? Really well done across the board. I love the mix of practical set design and CGI. You can tell a lot of effort went into this and does it show on screen. The special effects are really good too. The fights are very creative, well done, and the use of CGI is very creative and unique even if it doesn't look real all the time. This film never stops introducing new and exotic places to you and all of them look really good. The direction is really well done to with very creative camerawork a lot of times to especially with the CGI. There really is only two minor problems here that run throughout it. First this does explain a lot of stuff that doesn't need to be explained. Often just summing up what just happened or visually explaining a scene when it's not needed. And two, not explaining enough what needs to be explained. This throws a lot of stuff at you with kingdoms, races, spells and abilities and it just expects you to kind of just go along with it being a normal thing in this world. It really never explains any rules and feels like it kind of makes things up as it goes. But to it's credit it's focus as much as this does a great job world building, focuses on the characters. Great character development across the board and the added bonus of really good humor. This is really funny acually and it never takes itself serious but never goes into full slapstick either. This is a very cheesy and fun movie unlike most fantasy films of the past 30 years. The adventure itself is well written and while it can feel maybe a tad bit bloated too it really doesn't get int he way of this having such a good time, great villains, and having great laughs. Hats off to Pine & Rodriguez as well. Who the heck would've thought Rodriguez especially could do dead pan comedy so well. Anyone who is a fan of the game itself, adventures/fantasy, comedies, the director, or any actors in this should give it a try.

The movie will excite fans of the game while still being enough of a standalone for anyone to understand and enjoy. The actions scenes are excellently filmed, and all of the jokes land.
