Easter Sunday
audience Reviews
, 70% Audience Score- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis is a super cute movie (with a few slow parts). It’s great after that long day at work when you just don’t wanna think that hard but wanna be entertained. Joe Koy, his relationship with his mother and his son and his aunties really warms the heart. Throwing a little shenanigans with family. Then have the surprise addition of Tiffany Haddish as an old love and current police officer cracked me up and Lou diamond Philips just cap off this cute movie. If you’re looking for something easy, something entertaining with some humor give this one a chance.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsForgettable sitcom story turned into a movie. I don't recall laughing once....or even being close to it.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsMockery of Filipino culture in a caricature and offensive way. Can you imagine if it was the Star of David that was shattered on the floor? So disrespectful!
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsFeels like a terrible sitcom rather than a movie.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsTerrible. I want my money back.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsA complete disaster! Jo Koy has clearly tried hard and failed. Royalty. What a shame. A $22M waste!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsYo, real talk - I'm ride or die for Jo Koy but this movie? Kinda let me down fr fr. 💀 Like, if you ain't seen his stand-up, you might think it's aight cuz you don't know he's basically recycling his old material lmao. The squad backing him up was decent tho, and Lou Diamond Phillips popped up which was low key fire 🔥 But ngl, I barely cracked a smile watching this. The whole plot was mad basic and predictable af, and some jokes felt straight up random - like they just threw that stuff in last minute or whatever. Ngl, I was expecting to be rolling on the floor like when I watch his stand-up, but this ain't it chief. Giving it 4 stars just for the homies in the supporting cast and the few times I went "heh" 😅 Straight up wanted to love this more but it's giving mid vibes fr fr 🤷♂️
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI'm a Filipino and I never had a single laugh all throughout. Stereotyping a Pinoy family living in US is not funny at all.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsFun movie but expected more. Stick to stand-up comedy.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsEaster Sunday is HILARIOUS. I’m literally in pain from laughing so much. It’s a cute family oriented movie with lots and lots of laughs.
