Eight Miles High!

An enjoyable paean to seventies European hedonism, obviously made for an audience that knows who the it-girl protagonist is, but doesn't really suffer for those who don't. Bonus points for the soundtrack.

Certainly a fascinating true story but nothing in particular stands out to make it a great movie.

Some appeal it may have for some audiences but for me a film that focuses on and features sex as the primary topic just ins't interesting enough. Also it was far too long.

Have you ever dreamed of being completely free? Traveling the world, living without rules, and hooking up with anyone you wanted?

A curious view on women's emancipation from the 60s to the 80s that leaves us questioning what has really been achieved. Tolerance can be quite as repressive as repression. The pictures of beautiful German starlet Uschi Obermaier deliver the story well, but the soundtrack could have used more original songs of the 70s.

Don't you just love German movies where they're so eager to show their pink bits and legitamise it as art?

I've met Uschi a few times during the past decade. (A friend of mine knows her.) I think the actress in the movie captured the essence of her personality.
