First half of the film what focuses mainly on the main character when he was a kid was great because the story is really interesting and you learn about the Daayan. It definitely feels like the whole movie should have focused on the childhood. Unfortunately the second half of the movie is just terrible. The writing is awful and is just a complete mess. They shove in a ridiculous wedding song which is pointless. The kid they introduce at the beginning of the film tries to get set up as important to the story but only shows up for 5 minutes. This movie is such a interesting premise ruined by pointless characters and terrible writing.

A great performance by Emraan and Konkona Sen Sharma makes this horror movie a good entertainer

something different from the run-of-the-mill bollywood movies. sustains the interest till the end, although the end was a bit of a letdown for me.

After watching it's promo, I was expecting some quality horror in Bollywood film but alas this one suffers from "Curse of Second half & cliches". After it's terrific & scarier first half with excellent background score by Clinton Cerejo & some fine performances by Konkana Sen Sharma, Pawan Malhotra & Vishwesh Tiwari film does offer you something new. But it's the second half which is almost like some Vikram Bhatt movie with full of cliches where only Emraan Hashmi infuses some life but that tepid & stale writing reduces the second half to pure non sense. Massively disappointed by Vishal Bhardwaj's writing & pathetic performances by Huma Qureshi & Kalki Koechilin.

too many twists and turns turns it more into a mystery & suspense movie than a horror movie....emraan was good as ever but the story lacked the edge to keep you on the edge of your seat for too long :/ one watch for sure though :)

The twist in the end didnt make sense at all and messed up the whole meaning of the movie...

Fueled with all sorts of twists and turns, the vehicle offers neither any thrilling or any scary moments. As the movie goes ahead, you're already ahead of it. Like they've picked up some commendable pieces from the best flicks in this genre, and tried to fix the pieces to get something incredible. Unfortunately, the outcome is below average. The casting and a few performances didn't help to make this weak story worthwhile. Nothing here to make it recommendable.
