The Last Breath is a shark thriller I went into hoping for at least a semi-decent survival flick. Unfortunately, it didn’t come close. Let’s start with the CGI—it was just bad. The shark never looked even remotely real, which completely took me out of the movie. It felt like the filmmakers kept adding more sharks just for shock value, but it only made the visuals worse. One of the most baffling parts of the film was the random sacrifice by a male character. He gives up his life so the main girl can survive, but… why? There was no real emotional build-up, no deep connection between the two, no justification. It wasn’t even a situation where they were both doomed and one had to go. It was just out of nowhere, and it made no sense unless he had a death wish. I couldn’t buy into that moment at all. The story quickly unraveled from there. The plot lost focus, the characters became one-dimensional, and the acting fell flat. Everyone did what they could with the material, but the writing was so scattered that even solid performances wouldn’t have saved it. In the end, The Last Breath tried to be emotional and intense, but the poor effects, messy storytelling, and strange character choices made it hard to take seriously. This one’s a miss for me.

One of the best sharkies I have seen in a long while. The underwater scenes are well done and the cast likeable. It doesn’t take its self too seriously either and can have a laugh at how daft some of it is, overall well worth your time if you like this sort of thing.

Typical shark movie where sharks are much more aggressive than in reality and everything goes wrong in every possible way and only a couple of the cast survive the movie. Very trite.

This flick has the same plot points and two-dimensional characters as other tropical location-based horror movies.

O nivel de inteligência dos personagens se resume na fala: Tubarões tem ouvidos? São tantas pérolas de memes que nem vale a pena comentar.

Here comes another shark movie in the form of 2024's 'Last Breath'. SYNOPSIS: 'A group of college friends reunite on a Caribbean scuba diving trip exploring the wreckage of a WWII battleship and find themselves trapped inside the underwater labyrinth of rusted metal surrounded by great white sharks.' Here comes another film trying to take its marketplace value from fans of the shark genre, but being overly rowdy and throwing in loads of blood doesn't always work. There's a decent amount of tension in the dive itself, but not in the horrors of the deep. It's genre trope heavy but the delivery really isn't good. It's forgettable in comparison with other additions into this sub genre of horror films and will vanish as quickly as it arrives. Not great! 4/10

The idea and plot had great potential, but unfortunately, it was poorly executed. Some of the acting was questionable, and the realism of the underwater scenes left much to be desired. I found myself questioning whether some of the actions depicted could actually be done underwater, which left me confused at times. This is a skip and try something else in my opinion

I don’t see why this movie didn’t get a better rating or these so called critics. This was way better including the acting and scripted than Sharks In Paris! Loved it
