Eureka Seven - Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers
audience Reviews
, 57% Audience Score- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsnow I love Eureka Seven it's one of my favourite anime series. it's for that reason i can safely say that this movie is heartbreaking. the film tries to do a reboot of a franchise but fails completely because the story is awfully written and paced and accomplishes nothing and the really likeable characters that the series produced are characterised horribly and Renton and Eureka have hardly any of the chemistry they had in the series. to sum up it was heart breaking
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsA cool story about aliens and flying mechs gets bogged down in sappy romance. There a couple minutes of sweet action, the rest is a wash.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starslove love love this show ,movies every time i see the movie is different from the show a little
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsAnime is much more better
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLove the show and movie <3
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThe worst anime film I have ever seen. Blech. The series is magnificent, don't get me wrong. But this is just... bad. Bad all around. It's written like a bad piece of fanfiction as far as an adaption goes, as far as a film by itself, it's disjointed action schlock. Blech! If you're a fan of the series, save yourself the pain. If you want to see the series and want an introduction... go to Wikipedia or rent a DVD.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starslove this movie so much. this is one of the best love stories ive seen. really recommend this to people who have seen the series.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThat's what happens when you squash a tv show into a 2 hour (or however long) movie adaption. Rushed unexplained plot with holes. Weak dialogue coming from bad script writing often proving to be cheesy and awkward to watch. Some enjoyable scenes. But meh. Not that great.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsMakes even less sense than the series it was based on.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIf you've seen and like/love the series as I did, stay as far away from this alternate storyline film as possible. I'm not going to say it upset me, but it did. I felt like all the characters sold out to who I thought they were, and ended up being very one dimensional. And the story was all over the place, and not really that interesting. Solid animation, but that's to be expected. However, seriously, what an amazing credit sequence. Must be seen. So cool. It really is the best thing about this movie. Which is unfortunate.
