- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOverall good movie to watch
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsSeemed like it was trying to make a point but I have no idea what it was
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsA well made contemplative drama with some really good performances in it. That’s about what you’d expect from something like this and it delivered. I wasn’t surprised by it in any way but again I don’t feel my time was wasted. I particularly enjoyed Griffin Dunne. He’s an actor I’ve seen in things for years and was always good but never really registered. I will consider his presence more in the future based on this. I also appreciated that it really didn’t offer any answers for these issues in the end. I’m sure some people won’t like that and will say it “just ends” but I don’t feel that way. This was a movie about real life and in life sometimes issues emerge, they remain, and life goes on and so do we.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWe enjoyed it. Our expectations were low but it turned out to be a good story. Don't expect a comedy though. It's a sad movie, but shows how fathers and sons are connected.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsDidn't care much about any of the characters. Pretty slow moving.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThe trailer is deceiving… I went into this thinking there would be more comedic moments. Instead, there were very rare isolated chuckles from our audience, and this movie dragged. I kept expecting the plot to peak, for there to be a turn of events to elevate the storyline, but nothing ever happened. This reminded me of a Woody Allen movie, but not as interesting and with less angst. Skip this in the theater and rent it at home.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis is advertised as a comedy. This is a drama about very depressed people. There is no comedy. There is only one ex-husband. If you want a drama about depressed people who don’t solve their problems this is for you. But don’t go in looking for comedy.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIf your goal is to leave the theater in a state of depression give it an extra 2 stars
