Extraction 2

Occasionally, the dizzying filmmaking style, a mix of practical stunt work and invisible VFX, feels like a video-game cutscene. More often, it just sucks the air from your lungs.

With its bigger, broader swath of carnage, Extraction 2 improves upon the original and isn’t unpleasant (you know, unless you’re bothered by watching hundreds of deaths on screen).

A nutty movie that's just like the first. If you love the way that first movie was constructed, then it's a knockdown bang fest.

What counts in an action film is the action, and former stuntman-turned-director Sam Hargrave more than delivers on that promise.

It’s better than having a tooth pulled. But not by much.

The rare action sequel that works just as well as the original.

“Extraction II” is standout action film that features Sam Hargrave’s innovative direction and high production values.

Right off the bat, the narrative of “Extraction 2” feels much better than its previous installment.

Extraction 2 is the best English-language Netflix original action film I’ve seen.

It’s so in love with the idea of “doing it for real” that the whole thing becomes arbitrary. You can see where the fake single-take shots cut away and there’s always someone just off to the side hopping in place, waiting to get punched by Hemsworth.
