Fear

It is not bad at all. Not scarry but not bad acting, not bad script or how it was made. One only thing is that at it was a little hurried in the movie-to reveal what is going on in the house. But not bad at all. Would watch it again.

Fear es una película bastante complicada de calificar al principio y hablamos de una película que fue lanzada en video bajo demanda, así que claramente se trata de una película independiente. Al principio parece que fuera un piloto para una serie de televisión y es que el formato de la película se asemeja al de un proyecto televisivo. Curiosamente, no tiene un mal montaje, tiene un buen suspenso, hay sustos que aparecen por sorpresa y el manejo de la tensión es decente. El concepto que la película plantea es el miedo mismo como el mayor punto débil del ser humano y la idea que plantea no es mala. Tiene una mitología basada en lo sobrenatural y eso podría sumar por el hecho de que lo sobrenatural siempre ha sido usado como parte del miedo hacia lo desconocido. El concepto de las brujas y la mansión son algo bueno, aunque necesitaba profundizarse más. Aún existía mucho más relacionado con el tema de las brujas que se podría haber indagado para aportar bastante a la trama. Lo bueno de la película es que logra plasmar el miedo que sienten los personajes al estar atrapados en una situación que hacen que desconfíen uno del otro. Al principio lo hace de una manera vaga al usar lo de una posible epidemia para arrancar la paranoia de los personajes, pero es pasable por el hecho de que eso fue algo que se experimentó en el mundo real. Hay un buen manejo en cómo los miedos de cada individuo es usado en su contra. Ver como este grupo de amigos se va desintegrando por la paranoia y la ansiedad hace que la película se mantenga intrigante. Fue buena idea reservar la aparición de entidad del hotel para los últimos treinta minutos, aunque ese ser se siente algo cliché y el CGI es poco detallado. Los puntos que se le pueden dar a favor de esta película es su concepto sobre el miedo. Ese sentimiento siempre fue crucial en las películas de horror y se aprecia que esta película haya al menos intentado usar al miedo en sí como el antagonista principal. El argumento tiene bastantes aciertos y eso hace que la película sea pasable. Hay cosas que se podrían haber agregado o mejorado como el final tan repentino, pero Fear es al menos una película de terror aceptable dentro del extenso catálogo de películas hechas para video. Mi calificación final para esta película es un 7/10.

The cast played their roles so well. Taking Joe outside of his normal role of a gangster. The house and their Fear was a character in a way. Very interesting how it all came together

Love the cast and the plot. From beginning to end I was engaged throughout the movie. High quality cinematography brought the scenes to life. Great horror movie 🎥 🍿🍿🍿

Really enjoyed this movie! Lots of surprises, scary plot twists, and loved the hidden clues. Overall, a great weekend film to watch with friends. A rollercoaster of a ride!!

Such an underrated film who has ever mixed horror with a message? Facing and overcoming your Fear is something we all need to do. Mr Taylor has tapped into a new way of thinking, storytelling and audience engagement.

I believe this is the first move shot during the pandemic. A time when the whole world was turned off. Shout out to the filmmakers for trying to keep the world going. The movie is good. Especially……

Captivating movie that grips you from the beginning with great cinematography and a fantastic score. The art of story telling is in full display here with a great cast making a script come to life on the silver screen. Plenty of moments that made you jump and plot twists that leave you yearning for more !

This movie has a dope blend of suspense and horror, keeping you on edge from start to finish. The pacing is perfect, building tension without dragging, and the amount of blood and gore is just right—not overdone, but enough to keep you hooked. I was completely locked in the whole time.
