The best "rainy day" movie ❤️

I grew up with this movie - it was thematic for life back then. And it holds its own today, a classic! I've got news for Hollywood executives - people still like going to the movies but we're sick of the formulaic BS and franchise regurgitations. A movie like this is what it's all about - great characters, great writing, and very entertaining. Those elements make a movie timeless. I could watch this movie once a year for the rest of my life and enjoy it.

From director Hughes, one of the most iconic pop culture movies of the 80s Gen X about getting what you want in a time where the authorities didn't take no mess, well at least we had fun at it. Good movie. It put me on to some great actors.

Recommend for ages 9-12+,i saw this movie when I was about 6 so a little younger than I should've but I absolutely loved and still to this day have a fixation for it 10/10

For an 80s movie about a supposedly cool teenager doing whatever he wants, it has a very slow pacing.

Broderick is hilarious in this John Hughes classic. Great casting and story make this a top tier comedy of the 1980's. Tim Treakle

If you find this good or nostalgic, fair enough. I don't. It's comedy falls a bit flat, but I liked it's characters. I kinda wished they had cut the whole principal plot line, though.
