Five Blind Dates

I really liked the lead girl and it's a cute enough rom-com

Warrants a full swipe left. It completely whiffs on its potential and fails to deliver much by way of comedy or an engaging romance.

Despite its almost entirely Asian-Australian cast, and an engaging central performance from Hu, Five Blind Dates is painfully devoid of serious laughs or genuine romance. The courtship it depicts is tired and unconvincing.

Five Blind Dates leans too hard into romantic comedy cliches, so much so it drowns itself in it. But it is not all bad.



While Five Blind Dates leans a little too hard on the cliches at first, once the characters settle in this becomes a film where familiarity breeds a lot of fun

This rom-com spills the tea.

Despite a promising cast and premise, the film lacks comedy and relatable, believable romance.
