Force of Nature: The Dry 2

Sadly, the movie is a little too dry, too.

Force of Nature generates just enough mystery never to be boring, but not enough interest to elevate it above its modest trappings.

The film is well-made and well-acted, but it merely suggests depth rather than actually having it.

Despite... flaws of storytelling logic and compression, “Force of Nature”’s convoluted mysteries keep us involved if not wholly persuaded.

Director/screenwriter Robert Connolly takes full advantage of gorgeous but treacherous Australian locales – including a waterfall – and all of it is quite a sight to behold.

Unlike its riveting predecessor, it’s absorbing but never quite gripping.

It's a slightly inferior film to its predecessor, but it's still a lot of fun to watch, and it works very well on both an intellectual and emotional level. I wouldn't mind seeing more films starring Eric Bana's Aaron Falk. [Full review in Spanish].

Force of Nature: The Dry 2 is an inferior follow-up to The Dry but still delivers a somewhat engrossing mystery and an impressive sense of place.



As in the series’ first entry, landscape overshadows people.

While Eric Bana delivers a good performance, for me, Anna Torv helps round out this film with emotion we can ride along with.
