From Time to Time
audience Reviews
, 63% Audience Score- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsNot my cup of tea. I like time travel movies and the premise was interesting, but the whole thing was slow moving and not particularly interesting. There are a bunch of scenes in the movie that are only there to set up a time travel scene - and not in a subtle Back to the Future way. The main characters are for the most part fine, but the supporting cast are cartoons cut from Beauty and the Beast. I think this might be of interest to children who are in to history or genealogy (a very broad audience). It reminded me a bit of a better movie - Tuck Everlasting - also for kids.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWhile the mystery was laid out simply, the sweet characters and gentle hopefulness made this engaging movie quietly delightful.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest movie Ive seen in a year. I absolutely adore Maggie Smith. It does take 14 min of getting it bearings but at 15min my Whiny husband was hooked. He did not want it to end.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsEntertaining and enjoyable, family friendly ghost/time-travel story with a good cast.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThe boy was a bit rude in the beginning, but improved later on. Maggie Smith and Timothy Spall are wonderful throughout.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA lovely movie with an incredible cast!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI almost didn't watch this movie because of the poor reviews on this site. I would've missed out on one of my all-time favorite movies! I especially loved the interactions with Maggie Smith and Alex Etel. Time travel and ghosts are two of my favorite subjects and to have them both so lovingly intertwined by the writing of Julian Fellowes is like a cherry on top of my favorite icing. Go ahead and indulge yourself!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA truly great movie.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat feel good movie to take you back into your childhood of mystery and family. Fantastic cast!
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsCould be a damn good story. But problems kept distracting me from being interested. Dialog is unaware of how actual human speech works. Characters (and writers) can't decide if ghosts are ghosts, or ghosts are time travel. Alex Etel and Douglas Booth are unbearably untalented.
