There's a bluntness to the narrative I appreciate. Mott is so obviously a grifter and the elite D.C. spaces he infiltrates are populated by people who firmly believe they could never be grifted which makes them the perfect target for someone who has ambition without much intelligence.

It starts off a bit boring, but soon drags one into the dark and strange story of this sleazebag, climbing up ranks of imaginary fame and fortune. Unfortunately there are people like that all across the globe, charming themselves into ever higher positions of influence. Some wreaking havoc in the process, other cheating millions, even billions out of unsuspecting victims. All gaining what they should not have. Christoph Waltz's and Vanessa Redgrave's performances are impeccable and really bring this story to life. True or not! 6 1/2 out of 10 points.

Good play of the actors. Story is normal and not surprising.

A very good movie with unpredictable plot…. So refreshing to see a movie with no super avengers or cops and robbers in it… I think you will like it. Mature.

Although it is a true story, it doesn't resonate with as many people beyond the beltway. Pretty fascinating despite this, but is Waltz limited to taking on these roles of deception? It was on Amazon.

A world that cataclysmically outgrows a man is made into motion picture masterfully. An excellent performance by Christoph Waltz amd Vaness Redgrave. Trauma,Guilt and Emptiness inside of Albrecht Mott's character is enacted well. Both lead characters were supplemented with sincere performances making this a worthwhile watch. Georgetown with it's clever flashforwards gives Mott's journey a supernatural touch. Not a story about a predator but a unique consumer in a society that's consciously too doubtful, too complex and negligent. A very strange and a tragic story of loneliness well made to a film.

This is what I dislike about RT. This is a good movie; not great, but good. It is a story well-told with a good cast. I can't believe it has a 63 rating!
