Gigli is quite possibly one of the most challenging films to endure. Starring A-list celebrities Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, both typically known for their impressive work, this movie felt like a significant departure from their usual standards. Amid all the media frenzy surrounding their relationship at the time, one could speculate that they chose to collaborate on this project to further establish their status as a couple. However, we all know how that story unfolded. The screenplay, unfortunately, was poorly crafted, laden with disjointed elements and lacking a cohesive narrative. Instead of enhancing the actors' careers, it seemed to tarnish their legacies—thankfully, both have since found ways to bounce back. It's apparent that the director lacked a clear vision for the film, opting instead to go along with whatever direction seemed convenient due to the star power of the lead actors.

Yes, this 5 star rating is ironic. Yes, I only watched this movie because it appears on every single list of terrible movies and I consider myself to be an expert on that particular subject. Yes, this film contains one of the most unsubtle and offensive portrayals of a neurodivergent person that I've ever seen in my entire life. But, having said that, me and my girlfriend had a lot of fun watching it, and the idea that such terrible American films have an 80 plus percentage rating on this Godforsaken website while this film only has a 6%, may in fact be proof that an uneducated democracy is entirely pointless. I would rather watch this than see a single Marvel movie ever made again.

This was the first movie I ever walked out on. I have nothing constructive to add but my utter disdain for what garbage hollywood puts out.

Loved the dry humor ... Amazing cemetery between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.. no wonder they got back together 20 years later .. reminds me of the personal life of Taylor often received media attention because of her many illnesses and controversial marriages to well known figures such as Conrad Hilton Jr., Michael Wilding, Mike Todd, Eddie Fisher, Richard Burton (twice), John Warner. She has two sons with Michael Wilding and a daughter with Mike Todd.

This movie is more to showcase Ben affleck and Jennifer Lopez than anything else. The script is not the greatest, and perhaps a bit too lazy: all in all not concerned about reality but rather concerned about showing their relationship. Al Pacino's scene is of a different caliber, but it cannot rescue the movie.

Ironically the funniest thing I have ever seen , just a mix of the worst actors that happen to be good looking ( a common thing in Hollywood )

It's Bad but in a Boring type of way. This isn't an unhinged train wreck or nonsensical. Honestly I've seen MUCH worse. But yeah pretty much everything fundamentally is subpar. The camerawork is actually good and the best thing along with Pacino being decent for only one scene. And the music is ok when used. Problem is the cons FAR outweigh the Positives here. Lopez and Affleck have chemistry that evokes back to the worst Burton/Taylor movies. Lopez I honestly can't tell if she's miscast, her characters backstory is written stupid, or a bit of both. But the acting is just subpar. Most of the time it feels like the kid is forgotten about and I have no idea why he had to be mentally challenged because it really never comes up as a plot point. This feels like a screwball plot and bad crime movie that can't work together at all. The settings are never memorable, the dumb rap numbers are so out of place, the music isn't used enough. SOOOOO many scenes feel dry, lifeless, and uninteresting and the music would help big time. The biggest strike is the several elements of the plot make no sense. Why he's Handicapped, Why is she a lesbian, why does she drive off with him when they have no chemistry, how is she a hired gun. The crime element feels terribly executed and poorly written. It's almost forgotten about at times while Affleck & Lopez "Bond". But the thing is they really never bond, stuff just kind of happens with them together with some terribly boring dialogue. And it's so uninteresting. I can't recommend this to anyone because it's not even a so bad it's good it's just boring bad.
