, 89% Audience Score- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars“Girl You Know It’s True” enact the story of Milli Vanilli (i.e. the biggest scandal in music history). While it does not provide a lot of insight, it does an excellent job in recreating the associated iconography of the duos looks, costumes, dance routines and music videos, making it a wonderful, nostalgic revisit of a unique time within a distinctive musical era.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsA big budget run of the mill Hollywood biopic.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsHeartbreaking story of how fame can destroy a life as easily it can elevate a life, and the destruction comes much, much quicker. Rest in peace Rob Pilatus.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsMilli Vannilli look like they have been cloned. Good pick. Good movie.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI loved Milli Vanilli when I was younger and never really understood what happened to them apart from my uncle taking the Mickey out of me. When I saw this film come up on Sky I thought oh I’ll have a look I’m glad I did it was better than I thought it was going to be. I did wonder how it could be 2 hours but that didn’t stop me watching it. It’s a very insightful film in to what actually happened to these 2 weather you think that they are to blame or the music industry. At the heart of it all there are people with feelings and families and one person lost their life for this so called fame business. The struggles from everyone involved was shown in this film. I have watched documentary’s about it but it’s not the same really as seeing it played out in a film. A very good film and glad I watched it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe performances are outstanding. The two leads literally embody their roles and provide a glimpse into the turmoil behind the rags to riches to rags story. Far from the derisory tale I was expecting this movie packs considerable emotional heft. Top class
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe actor appearance is top notch, the sad but truth about music industry greed... The music producer should be regret for what he did. And this is one of the example how musicians biopics should be make. "Make audience tear up...."
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsMost of it’s true, and it’s a spectacle, so girl you know it’s good.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsVery entertaining while telling Rob & Fav's Version of the facts.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis movie biopic was really good. Tijan Njie, Elan Ben Ali, Matthias Schweighofer, Bella Dayne, and the rest of the cast did a fantastic job in this movie. This true story about the hip hop duo Milli Vanilli was dramatic, insane, and tragic. It's about how the music business works and what happens when you take advantage of someone else. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's a must see.
