"Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)" is the long awaited rematch that could've been, and should've been, so much better than what we actually got. Mediocre at best. Aside from having some interesting ideas with Kong (Who, honestly, carried the whole movie), not to mention being the first MonsterVerse Godzilla movie to FINALLY show the kaiju fights in broad daylight and for a good length of time, GVK has A LOT of the same problems as KOTM. Like KOTM, the story is incredibly weak and dull with little to no real tension or suspense to anything, the monsters move WAY too fast with no sense of weight and perform overly cartoonish stunts, and the human characters are all bland, shallow cardboard cutouts. Just like KOTM, I didn't care about anything that was happening because the movie didn't put in any effort to make me feel invested in anything. A majority of the plot revolves around Kong while Godzilla just shows up in scenes whenever the movie says so, either to pad the movie out with empty spectacle or to finally showcase the title fight (Which only happens twice in the whole movie, despite the human characters telling us it's "three" fights. Seriously, this movie treats the viewer with no respect for their intelligence). It's like the movie feels sorry for you, as if it's well aware, at this point, that this universe has been wasting your time not showing the monster fights with Godzilla up until this point and just gives up on everything just to get to the monster fights as quick as possible. Overall, GVK is only slightly better than KOTM, which really isn't saying much (I was very, VERY disappointed by KOTM, in case you can't tell). Between "Godzilla (2014)", KOTM, and GVK, it's incredibly self-evident that Hollywood really doesn't understand the Godzilla franchise. As a longtime Godzilla fan who's been anxiously waiting for new American Godzilla movies for many years, I fear we may NEVER get a legitimately great American Godzilla movie from Hollywood, and the MonsterVerse films, especially KOTM and GVK, may very well be a prime example of that.

Es todo lo que esperaba ver en una película de este tipo, un Blockbuster bien ejecutado, simple, digerible para cualquier espectador que solo quiere saciarse con acción frenética, desenfrenada y caótica.

The writing was terrible. The entire Godzilla team is written as jerks and tried to make cheap unfunny jokes and that’s disappointing because not only am I a Godzilla fan but also the actors are incredibly talented and the writing ruined this movie. In Godzilla King of The Monsters Madison was an amazing character and was an emotional point in the movie but in Godzilla vs Kong she is now a jerk and her story was written terribly.

I was 12 when this movie came out, and honestly I had mixed feelings about this movie. I knew Godzilla was Gonna win anyway, he's just too powerful. And this was mostly a Kong movie which was understandable since goji had 2 movies before gvk. And the idea of MechaGodzilla, which was kinda dum, just use mechaGhidorah, because your using one of the Ghidorah skulls. But hey the movie stays as it is.

It's not the best godzilla film, and im allowed to say whatever, im a life long godzilla fan, literally. Godzilla rightfully wins, how could he not, its not a fair fight. And don't say godzillas slow, in the 2019 film, he POWERWALKS at 300 MPH! And he gets faster every movie, in 2024 the new empire, he RUNS AT SUPERSONIC SPEED! Anyways, you get godxilla woopin kongs butt, thowing him with his jaw, dislocating his shoulder, stomping on him, and ultimately killing him. Until they revive him. Pretty mid mechagodzilla, which they killed off to early in the monsterverse, Anyways it was a fun movie. Single handedly brought back theatres during covid, and I've watched this movie about 13 times.

Best of the new Kong/Godzilla movies, lots of action and drama. Very entertaining and a good story. Final battle is the best big Titan fight I have seen.
