Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

If you like big monsters fighting watch

Last year i was 15 years old when this came out, it's not a bad movie, it's just Kong. This movie should've been called Kong the new empire, or son of Kong. Erase Shimo and Godzilla, just keep suko and Skar king and mothra. Because Godzilla only has 7 whole minutes of screen time while Shimo has 4 minutes of screen time. And honestly I thought this was gonna be a Godzilla focused film because of him evolving, but no, it's just Kong.

Not a critic film, just a fun, exiting, WWE monster fight film. Font go in expecting a serious movie, expect coming out with a smile because you saw King Kong with an electric mechanical arm, godzilla evolve and glow pink, a mad orangutan that controls a fricken ice lizzard. I'm a godzilla fan, since forever, its not the best godzilla movie, but it sure is fun!

Not bad, but not good either. Just a big, "AAA" Hollywood movie with a plot that doesn't really hold up (not even really), humans who have almost no impact on the story; they're just there to remind you that humans exist, basically. In short, watch it to pass the time or if you're a Godzilla and/or Kong nerd, but not if you're a fan of movies with a well-constructed plot and a good story/moral.

Absolutely LOVE Kong and Godzilla and will always be a dedicated fan. However the plot line with Jia is absolutely unnecessary. Remove that plot line, show us MORE GODZILLA AND KONG, more scenery of that beautiful world hidden world, more KAIJU! The time spent focusing the familial plot line took time from what could have been filled with action! We need to see more monsters! That’s what’s we are here for. I would give 2 stars but the scenes with Godzilla and Kong saved the film.

While I do see a few missed opportunities in the film, it is an amazing and one of my favorite movies as of yet.

This doesn’t feel like a kaiju film let alone a Godzilla film. It’s a non-stop assault on the senses. There are no memorable moments but it is definitely not boring. This is essentially a Kong film as Godzilla barely features in it. There is no city smashing and barely any human story. The film is so out there, it reminded me more like when Gamera went to the moon than any of the serious kaiju movies. The editing is too fast especially in the final battle, it means you can’t enjoy the action. Their scale is funny, they don’t seem that big, they should be huge!

Too much fun! This was definitely Kong’s movie, but damn Godzilla was cool! HOWEVER! The best thing about this movie is that the humans take the backseat! Must watch!

I think that this is definitely a miss

I enjoyed it. I needed something entertaining that wasn’t too much of a thinker. Love the hollow earth and portals. Great imagery. I may have missed this detail from a previous movie… but sign language isn’t standardized internationally. So the white American lady signing with a tribal girl seemed a funny potential oops.
