Golmaal Again

For someone like me, there's usually very little to like in the Golmaal films. But I have to say that the addition of a few new faces, and moving the location from the beaches of Goa to the green slopes of Ooty, helped freshen things up.

Golmaal Again stretches credulity.

Shetty might make it look like he is capable of making anything if he wants, but I really doubt he is. I suppose there are enough people in this country for him to believe otherwise.

Mixing horror with comedy allows director Rohit Sherry to bring a new element to his style of filmmaking.

If you are looking for substance, then this one has no logic, only magic. But, if you're looking to just laugh and be merry, Golmaal will again do the trick.

Rohit takes a lot of time to establish this entire set up and there aren't too many one-liners or jokes to keep you entertained during this period.

Is it entertaining? Oh yes. Is it funny? The first half is, though the energy dips in the second half.

Shetty's story doesn't have the emotional heft or enough jokes to entertain us for 151 minutes - the film's runtime.
