    Very original concept. Hilarious moments.

Its an interesting idea and I respect that people found something like this during COVID but I also don't think this is all that insightful as a feature length movie nor is it as profound as people are pretending it is.

*Grand Theft Hamlet* is such a cool idea—staging *Hamlet* inside *GTA Online* and turning it into a documentary? That’s wild. As a huge *GTA* fan, I respect how much effort went into this. The online world can be unpredictable, so pulling off a full play inside it is impressive. Plus, it’s refreshing to see gaming portrayed positively instead of the usual "games are bad" narrative. I love the contrast—players escaping into a virtual world, building something together, while real life outside is full of isolation and uncertainty. Watching the chaos of *GTA* mix with the chaos of live theater is fun, and seeing the play come together is satisfying. But… that’s kind of all it is. A cool concept, well-executed, but not much more. I really *wanted* to love this, but it didn’t hit as hard as I hoped. Still, respect for the ambition.

It is horrible. And an insult to plays . Plays should not be on games

A delight. A genuine surprise. I was worried that I wouldn't enjoy the filming as not a massive fan of the game, but what this film does is bring true heart to a time when people's lives had been so badly effected. I laughed, I choked up, it was wonderful. Deserves more plaudits.

A true spectacle. We howled with laughter and we're touched with how earnest some of the players were. I can imagine this being dissected and discussed in film criticism classes for another century. Truly excellent

Honestly delightful. Saw it at IFC and the audience laughed more than any big Hollywood movie I've been to in the last few years.
