Gremlins was a B-movie cult classic when it was released in 1984. It had humour that wasn’t forced and brilliantly staged scares. Gremlins 2 ignores all this and goes for total parody. Does it work? Well, it’s entertaining, horror veteran Christopher Lee is memorable as a genetics doctor but beyond that, it’s only a rung above a Weekend at Bernie’s sequel in necessity.

A very funny, wildly creative, and batshit crazy satire of the original franchise’s immense popularity and all the bloated conglomerate media madness surrounding it. There are so many creative and crazy gremlin designs to the point of parody, including the Brainy Gremlin, the electric gremlin, the vegetable gremlin, the “beautiful” gremlin, the gargoyle gremlin, and the spider gremlin. It’s insanely stupid that’s pumped up to 11 and it takes complete advantage of all the crazy limits of this premise for one hell of a wild ride.

Chaos and carnage and that’s how Gremlins should be. Just introduced it to my 11 year old and she loved it as much as I did when I was her age.

I watched it and it gave me nightmares. You know why?! THIS MOVIE IS REALLY AWFUL!!! Why does this movie exist? I can't tell, because the movie sucked.

This is a strong contender for the worst movie I've ever seen. Stupid gag after stupid gag after stupid gag. Appeared to be written by five-year-old boys for five-year-old boys, while not being appropriate for children. I enjoyed the original Gremlins film. This one was just incredibly stupid and annoying with virtually no redeeming qualities. I'm surprised so many actors agreed to be a part of it.

Unapologetically violent and silly, "Gremlins 2" adds an unexpectedly creative and funny layer to a premise that could have easily lost its footing.

So everyone hates his movie? and I don't?! Do I really need to explain why this film is good besides brain gremlin because really if the first one was good then this was the best one in my opinion

Chock-full of clever references, nods to pop culture, and plenty of campy humor, “Gremlins 2: The New Batch” proves to be way smarter than a sequel needs to be. It’s just a total blast.
