It's disappointing because this concept could work if the dialogue was more witty, the plot had more underlying commentary, and the setting was during a different time. It feels like in 2005 especially that we're past this and feels out of place. Everything about this more importantly is just fundamentally ok but nothing special at all. Nothing pops cinematically, the camerawork is so basic, the music is boring and forgettable, and everyone is doing enough to be passable. Problem is no one has that much chemistry or charm. But the worst handicap is the humor is unfunny and service level humor with occasional out of place slap stick. It's the kind of humor you'd expect to find on BlackJokes.com, not in a major motion picture and it's not delivered in a witty way at all. And this ends up making you not care much at all about the main characters either. Add to it that it feels like stuff just happens when they meet the first time, don't like each other and secrets get revealed but it doesn't add anything to the plot of that make sense or add depth. They still don't like each other with or without the secrets all the same. I can't recommend this to anyone besides super die hard Kutcher fans because even though he's nothing special this is probably one of his "better" performances but that's not saying much.

80/100 - soooo much better than the 2023 garbage remake. RIP bernie mac

Very funny movie. Nowadays no one cares about black and white relationships like they did back then. That's why it was so funny at the time. Still a good movie regardless.

Some good elements that just don't come together well. Bernie Mac is great, but not as funny as he could be here. Zoe Saldana is good. Ashton Kutcher is not very good. The movie is a soft remake of the very important and controversial "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner". It just is not funny, heartfelt, or meaningful enough to have any impact. Disappointing.

The first half of the film was full of great jokes sadly the 2nd half wasn't and Ashten Kutcher is a terrible actor. I also felt the chemistry was bad between the actors.

Guess Who tries to balance awkward humor with heartfelt moments about race relations but ultimately fails to match the star power, authenticity and most importantly the message of the classic original.

I think the world needs more movies like this one.

a cute and heartfelt version of one of the greatest films of all time. Some nice twists to the formula makes it more than a knockoff.

Not a bad movie to watch and is worth watching once. Has heart and good amount of laughs.

The idea to make this movie was just not a good one. The premise of flipping the roles around from the classic movie they remade was worth a chuckle, but it should've ended there. It felt like Bernie didn't really want to be in the movie and I've never seen Ashton be worse - I generally like him and his movies. It felt like halfway through the movie Bernie was ready to admit he likes Ashton but they couldn't do it then as there would be no plot whatsoever after that. The lie about quitting his job was so minor that it was glaringly obvious the argument would blow over and wouldn't have happened in real life. Some moments were funny, like the go-cart scene and them sleeping together, but in general it felt like a waste of time. They could've condensed the comedy and made it an hour-long TV movie. Also, the type of goofs they had showed that the editing was lazily done.
