- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThe movie was likable. I’d rewatch it.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsMediocre at best. Characters are one dimensional and uninteresting. This isn’t so bad since it’s supposed to be a historical telling but when your characters are reading hammy dialogue and Harriet Tubman is using supernatural powers and able to see the future to help create a National revolution, the movie moves from boring to laugh out loud entertainment.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsCynthia is fabulous as always.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsAn exciting and entertaining portrayal of Harriet Tubman with a strong lead performance that makes up for some of its Hollywood conventions.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIf this story is so powerful and Harriet Tubman was so great, then why did they need to make up stuff that didn't happen and put a whole bunch of lies and historical fabrication into this movie?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA bit of a Hollywood yarn. The real Harriet Tubman sounds extraordinary. This is an action adventure story really. Its attempts at humour in the main, work and the performances are strong. The E.S.P episodes are a bit odd and play to a supernatural side that devalues the real story a little. Worth watching, but probably then go and watch a documentary or read a book about her.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsCaptured me from the start. Harriet is an exceptionally strong character. A very inspirational film
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is a fantastic film about a dark time in America's history. The acting is superb. Definitely a film everyone should watch
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI had to check to see if this was a made-for-TV movie. It sure has that feel, shot more like a streaming series than a film. It's the camera work, framing, editing, the way they do flashbacks... kind of all of it. There's one really good scene between Harriet and her husband. The rest is fine, but not remarkable. What is remarkable though is the actual history that it's based on.
