, 100% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWhoa! Delivers what it promises. Disturbing, tense, and violent. Pretty skilled direction, worth a watch if you desire a nightmarish time.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie is amazing, I love the way the movie plays with your emotions, It is able to make you think that everything is done and the launches more "action". I felt like an emotional roll coaster whole the time I couldn't get off. I definitely recommend it
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsA fun well done Slasher
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsHaunt - 7.5/10. Considering Heretic was one of my fave films of 2024, I wanted to look at the film that helped make this director duo get on the map. I saw 65 (which is pretty bland and mediocre to be honest), so I had lower expectations with this. Along with the Letterboxd score, I was expecting something bad. But, to my nice surprise, this was pretty decent! Sure, there’s a lot of inspiration from other franchises and films, but what I liked most about this film was that for the money they had, they utilized it oh so well. Haunt is an extreme haunted house film, where a bunch of people go in expecting light scares. Unbeknownst to them, they’re in for a fight to the death. Though the cast is relatively unknown actors (fun fact, the lead actress in this movie actually was in the top 10 in an American Idol season), they surprisingly are pretty convincing here. The lines are a little bit cheesy (the “I grew up in a haunted house” line was lame in my opinion), but the direction is pretty solid. Forward and straight to the point, this was actually not bad and a fun watch! A bloody thrilling time!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI have only just joined Rotten.T but I watch a lot of seasonal movies. Just watched Haunt due to it's high popcorn rating. It was worth a watch during the Halloween season. A little predictable in places, with a few of why didn't you do/take that moments. Overall good but nothing new that will make you feel like it's a special must see film again.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsSome stoned and drunk college kids enter a haunted house full of rigged escape rooms. Ill intent ensues. An atmospheric romp with occasional entertaining moments. Ending is rushed and characters barely fleshed out. Some good kills for those that value them. I do wonder what the villains do that night if no one stumbles on their haunt.... Filmed in Covington, KY.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsHaunt is an OK horror movie. It has a nice premise and some pretty interesting maiming / kill scenes with plenty of violence and gore if you are into that. Like most horror movies, people do plenty of dumb things (it wouldn't be a horror movie without this happening)... not least, the characters hadn't quite cottoned-on to the idea of the 'double-tap' (yes, it's not a zombie movie, and this film predated the Zombieland movies). Smash the killer's head with the baseball bat or sledge hammer a few more times, just to make sure... and once you've done that, take their bloody weapons from them! It's all pretty silly but worth a watch for horror fans... and it has a neat ending as well.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of my absolute favourite slasher movies to watch every halloween!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of the best horror movies I’ve seen in a while. Really well done!
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsIt's not worth watching.
