Heart Eyes
audience Reviews
, 76% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsLike most horror films, both good and bad, of the last 15 years, it always starts well but falls flat in the last quarter. Heart Eyes could easily have spawned many sequels with the 'faceless killer' if it didn't go off the rails in the reveal. The film works best when delivered as a straight up slasher film. I honestly didn't get the 'rom-com' vibe at all until maybe halfway through and frankly, it wasn't done well enough and took away from the slasher element, thus lowering both genres in terms of satisfaction.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsA fun slasher romcom! I enjoyed it the whole way through!
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsGreat hate watch. The movie is terrible but fun to make fun of.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsAs entertaining as this is, the silliness just isn't clever or funny enough to make it as good as it could have been. Original, but lacking.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsThis movie was good for what it was trying to be and the Heart Eyes killer was mysterious and compelling. There were a few comedic moments as well and the ending was thrilling!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI loved it. Great slasher/rom-com combo.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAs crazy as it sounds= I'm giving this 5 stars. Holt and Gooding were generational in their delivery of the material. If that isn't them in the roles- (and it wasn't horror) they woulda got oscar nods. I totally connected to both of them AND I liked them. Seems to be a thing these days to have the Protagonist of a film really be the Antagonist. The dialogue was really great and well thought out- the 'horror' in it was well executed and camp- but in a good way. The story was original and the comedy in it also great. Now, after all that= it's maybe one of the most romantic movies I've ever seen. What an insane smash-up of genre's and executed perfectly. Loved It!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI thought this was a pretty good movie, I wish the killer talked more on the phone like scream but still pretty cool.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsDisliked the wannabe ghost face type of slasher
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsAstounding chemistry between the two stars and just wild gore. It's such a fun take on the multiple genres!
