A disorganized and pretentious drama with no real point. The story of a young girl runaway in the South from a poor irresponsible family meets more irresponsible travelers. Weak attempt at a coming of age storyline with inappropriate sexualization, randomness, coincidental strangers, and forced situations that fall flat. Add in a dash of idealism for far too many tryhard ingredients that combine together like water and oil. A meaningless ending that makes you no better off for having watched it. Total shot and miss.

I love this movie so much it never leaves my brain and the way that my favorite character that I fall in love with turns out to be a villian is one of my favorite type of genres.

One unresolved mystery will always be how this movie got financed and assembled a cast of fairly competent actors to serve a script that appears to be a hallucination of an eleven year old. In an interesting premonition, Alec Baldwin appears in a scene after someone dies when the trigger is pulled on a firearm that was assumed to be unloaded. Ten years later life imitated fiction.

Worst MOVIE I ever watched. A waste of time to even write a review!

I loved it!! Gave me a boner

This is single-handedly the worst movie I have ever watched. i’m not even exaggerating. NO character development, the plot is below average and doesn’t even make much sense. The timeline is rushed. The characters have no depth and everyone seems to be discombobulated. I wish I could erase this horrid movie from my brain. Do not watch this movie if you value your time.

I thought the film was really well done. Sad but honest at the same time.

As usual the book was better than the movie. I feel like the movie had a wonderful cast and did a pretty good job with being true to the book but something about the movie is extremely lackluster and I felt like they could of done way better especially with the cast they had.

Was very surprised this movie was entertaining but it was highly watchable.

I found this movie compelling and horrifying. I don't think I'd watch it again, but if you want to see something super fucked up, then it's probably worth considering.
