Hostel Part II
audience Reviews
, 39% Audience Score- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars***Spoiler alert ahead***In my opinion, this one has probably the most heartbreaking death scene, Lorna. The film is grisly and gory. I really didn't understand how Stuart went from a timid, scared man to a psycho in 3 seconds, I feel that aspect was a miss. Some good kills but Beth's ending was too strange and seemed like it didnt fit to me, although Lauren German was fantastic.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThey buy these students visiting Rome and then do terrible things to them. The gore works, but there's no tension building and no good back stories that get you invested.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThis horror sequel written and directed by Eli Roth follows three American female art students in Rome who are directed to a Slovak village where they are eventually kidnapped and taken to a facility in which rich clients pay to torture and kill other people. While not particularly inventive plot-wise, the sequel amplifies the brutality and offers a more unsettling look into the grotesque economy behind the bloodshed—giving viewers a glimpse into the mindset of the elite who pay for such horrors. The film is undeniably sadistic and not for the faint of heart, yet it earns some narrative points for its shocking twist and a finale that serves up a darkly satisfying dose of poetic justice. An average sequel with a few sharp barbs beneath all the gore.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis is a terrible sequel, too Hollywood and too fake. The first was good because of unexpectancy .
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsPeople have spoken so highly of this film, but in the end it's just a satire of how banal life is and a social critique.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsAlthough there is a significant amount of sadistic gore that will satisfy fans of the original, the storyline is lacking in that it simply replays much of the original. The only significant changes being flipping the gender roles of the main cast, and almost idiolizing the community that is actually doing these things instead of rooting for the victims.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsGood gore scenes, the screenplay isn't very good.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThis film was not much different from the first film, it just repeated the first one but just chaged the genders of the main characters.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsWhile the gore is amplified and the shocks are more abundant, Hostel Part II follows the same narrative structure, and characterizations from it predecessor; it tries nothing to better itself. The only respite being the vile brutality, for those wanting a bloody tint to their horror.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThis one was pretty good, slow in the beginning, but then it vecome interesting. Love to watch some dumb b*thes getting slaughtered in a good horror movie. The blood shower torture was very creative and cool.
