a rompin, roaring good time even 35 years later plenty of laughs, cool music and 90's teen exploration to spare this soundtrack kicks all kinds of ass and Robin Harris has the best lines in here it also depicts the real way parties should be held whether it involves DJing, girls, jail etc. definitely a real pleaser for the viewer

Filme legal, o roteiro é bacana, as cenas deveriamser melhores, mas parece que o filme tem muitas festas e quase nada aconteia, e também o filme não trouxe uma coisa tão boa de se ver.

I absolutely adore this movie. Underrated comedy with a lot of good actors pre Friday movie. Its held up over the rest of time. The sequels though,I would stay away from.

instant Classic, a Beyond Authentic Portrayal of being a Fun Loving Teen Growing up in South Central Los Angeles California in the 1980's, the Movie Realistically Shows us what Hip Hop Music was Truly About back than, it was All about (FUN, in-House Parties, and Consensual Affair's) instead of the Violence and Drama in 2020's nowadays

It's a good entertaining movie. I'll go as far to say it's an pop culture treasure with memorable soundtrack and references that people still use to this very day.

This movie on so many levels feels like a time machine back to the 90s. I personally was born in 2003 so this movie was a fascinating watch. The best part in this movie was probably the musical and dance aspects. The comedy in this movie just made me smile some but this movie definitely has that cheesy 90s movie feel that feels nostalgic. This isn't a movie to watch seriously, just a movie to jam to and to experience that 90s vibe with that comes off charming and silly. C-

There are some annoying character traits in the movie. Like Kid and Play can be dicks at times. But the biggest issue is the villains. The bullies who get murdery for no real reason. There is no evidence they have any issues before he accidentally spilled a little food on him, which doesn't equal murder or obsession over it. Plus, Stab? That's not intimidating. That's like calling a sniper shoot. But fortunately Stab and his goon squad is more of a subplot and the rest of the movie is really funny.

At first, I tried to give House Party the benefit of the doubt. After all, I am not a Kid 'n Play fan, I'm not a teen (or rather, a 30-year-old playing a teen), and I'm not black. I initially thought that if I were any of these things, I might be enjoying the movie more because I would then be the target demographic. However, as it progressed and I realized the plot is repetitive, the acting is inconsistent, and the humor is lazy & immature, I realized how pointless watching this movie was. It was a waste of my time. Frankly, I don't see why anyone would accept an invitation to watch House Party.

House Party is a classic! I enjoyed the chance to watch it in a theater. The facilities were nice. Not too crowded & the snacks were reasonably priced.
