, 62% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsRodriguez echoes "Inception" and "The Matrix" with a matryoshka script and a MKULTRA-kind sci-fi. He has fun and enjoys us by getting rid of the haughty authorial arrogance of the Nolans and Wachowskis, who consider themselves able to say something new about everything (time, existence, simulacra), and indulges himself with visual constructions that not even the respective Architects of the others two films. "Sidelined by the Hollywood mainstream which has instead moved in other, not necessarily better, directions" (Raffaele Meale), he realizes the B-movie version of "Abre los ojos" (Amenábar '97), "Trance" (Boyle 2013 ), etc., also alien to his companion Tarantino or to graphic novels: an intriguing case of when "less is more". - Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI'm not sure what the negativity regarding this movie is about, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were elements of a dumb downed inception, which I appreciated because I'd just finished cooking and cleaning for the family and I wasn't in the mood for anything I was going to have to think about too hard. But it wasn't predictable by any means. It kept me guessing to the end. And there is a post credit scene, so wait for it. Ok, I admit one line was predictable, LOL, but the plot was original. If you want to enjoy a thriller that will keep you on your toes, while not having to think too much, I highly suggest this film. If you are in the mood to break down every scene just to find something little to nitpick over, don't bother. Just watch, relax, and enjoy. Plus it's Robert Rodriguez, and he makes some decent entertainment. Hope this helps
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsStrong hook but became predictable fast. Too many borrowed elements and in my humble opinion not the strongest from Robert Rodriguez.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsCan't believe all the hate this gets. I thought it was exciting and suspenseful. I enjoyed it.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis movie had a lot of potential, but sadly a let down.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI thought this was a fun movie and loved all of the twists along the way.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsvery good a must watch
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThis was like a dollar store 'Inception' ...what on earth did they try and do, furthermore - why?! So mind-bending that at a point you question if you are actually that daft or if it is the film's poor writing (hint, it is not you). The duration is the best thing about this movie.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIt has flaws, but it's a very entertaining movie.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars#52moviesin52weeks #2023 #84 #Hypnotic #PeacockTV ¿De que trata? A un policía le secuestran a su hija y en un asalto a un banco descubre que los involucrados, quienes tienen poderes de hipnosis, podrían ser parte del secuestro. ¿Me gustó?
