Very very stylish. The plot is nonexistent or at least incidental.

Has a similar feel between 'Blade Runner' and/or 'The 5th Element' but on a shoestring budget Keep in mind, this movie is a LOW BUDGET film, not attracting the likes of Harrison Ford, Stanley Kubrick, or Bruce Willis, etc - but as a percentage of $$ spent, I'd say this movie does a lot more, considering their resources were a lot less. Those who call this movie 'confusing' are just used to Hollywood spoon feeding them plotlines and simple stories! No, they never explain where the different races come from - why some of them are animated, human or something in the middle - but for those of us who have a good imagination, it doesn't really matter. We can create our own stories concerning Earth and all its new inhabitants without a 15 minute backstory. I'd prefer to get on with the action, which this film does right from the first second! It's really hard to rate as I can't say I've ever seen a movie like this. It's certainly unique!!! But highly creative!!! I wish they had cut back a little bit on how much focus was given to the love story.. overall it was pretty awesome! RECOMMENDATION: Just watch the 1st 15 minutes, that's enough to give you the feel of the movie and not waste too much time. I personally think you will love it!!

If you want a totally different chic gestalt of Heavy Metal-era, graphic novel, come celluloid alive that breathes the skewed weirdness of a Iain M. Banksian sci-fi tome yet retains that down-to-earth Blade Runner meets Fifth Element tawdry, bleak future visual and smug attitude then this flick RULES. If you are looking for smooth story line and sub-plots all falling into place neatly with intense and engaging and skilled acting then forget it. Remember this is art 2-D rising up to a 3-D computerized virtual life for the eye to worship and the brain to be teased. Granted, I love H. R. Giger darkworldviews in his art but they also make one uncomfortable. "Immortal" was full of uncomfortably mesmerizing artsy effects blending virtual PC-rendered and "real" actors and would also switch to 100% fake folk for some scenarios. I was put off a tad by this at first but then after a time you accepted this quasi-realism. I want to see this movie re-released and re-rendered 10 years from now when it will be impossible to tell render from real. Recommended viewing for sci-fi fans, (except for the several forced sex scenes which were disturbing in that perversely voyeuristic way.) Yes, I realize it was a vital part of the story but its graphic nature reminded me of all that flashy-cool sex art of the 1970s-80s Heavy Metal zines which helped sales -- a necessary evil . . . hmm, not.

Definitely weird. Worth a watch once through. If you like scifi based on comics, like Mobius, this might be for you.

That movie was freaky... but I liked it... as odd & as hard as it was to follow at times.

A very bizarre film. Good if you're suffering from an excessive screening of reboots.

Great story, even with the early developed visual effects. A futuristic crazy pronostic about our future, but the interesting thing about this is that, gods came back. The story Horus in a mortal limit looking for trascendece. Beutifull.

This is, first and foremost, just weird. It takes place in a future version of New York, but it certainly doesn't feel like a real New York, it's more like Blade Runner's lazy LA crossed with Mirror Mask's reality fuzziness. The whole film plays out like a strange dream that feels like the pilot of a television show. But that's not a bad thing here. The character designs fit well into the world that has been created for them. Some of whom are 3D animated, and some scenes do not have any live action elements at all. Even though it's always detectible, the effects are reconciled because the whole world it takes place in feels like being drugged, it's consistently dreamy and weird. There is little explanation for the way things look, or for how the dirty but futuristic technology and Egyptian god related ethereal elements simultaneously play into the daily reality here, but that is how the experience of the film is built. It is marginally experimental while maintaining its sometimes incoherent plot. It offers a mood that is comfortably languid, with a pace that never feels rushed, until perhaps the end, but because of its general ambiguity, it's forgivable. The title is a little odd for what the whole of the story really is. It's less about immortality than it is about the endless biological combinations of mortals, and the sociological impact of such medical opportunities. But even given that, there are occasional lapses in logic, and the dreaminess creeps into normal conversations. I enjoyed it mostly because of its easy pace and consistent mood. It's effective on that level, and it's very interesting to watch, even though it can be at times incomprehensible.
