This film shows no mercy. The entire thing is brutal yet captivating from start to finish. The cast is full of heavy-hitters throughout and there is a sharpness/quickness to each performance. While it's not a movie that I would like to re-watch often, it is a strong depiction of the evils of man and a superb film. We (obviously) know it's not a true history, but it's an absolute masterpiece of a movie. The acting is absolutely incredible. The Christoph Waltz's acting is just hypnotizing. I could spend hours writing on how good this movie is, not recommended to the most fragile, the inglorious basterds are absolutely worth the watch. Violent, attention catcher and entertaining.

Good entertainment with lots of subtle humour despite the gore, but some quiet scenes just go on and on. 2 hours would have been more appropriate.

Inglourious Basterds is Tarantino at his boldest — a genre-bending, dialogue-driven masterpiece that blends tension, humor, and brutal intensity with effortless style. From the unforgettable opening scene to the final shot, the film keeps you locked in with razor-sharp writing and a fearless approach to storytelling. The performances are phenomenal across the board, but Christoph Waltz steals the show with a chilling, magnetic presence that earned every bit of praise. The film doesn’t follow the rules — and that’s exactly what makes it so entertaining. Every scene is packed with purpose, often exploding in unexpected, satisfying ways.

Though it is fundamentally a silly film it is well acted and directed. Some of the shot framing, lighting, composition and camera movement felt Kubrick-esque. Two scenes in particular, the farmhouse and the tavern, really are a masterclass in building tension through dialogue and minimal camera movement.

    Bonjourno! A real classic.

Tarantino's irreverent take on WWII is a violent and darkly humorous occasion. Christoph Waltz's stellar performance is the standout amongst a great cast. The historical liberties the film takes match the plot, and the alternative angle it takes showcases what everyone wishes had happened in real life.

Although Pulp Fiction is my favorite film all-time, Basterds is what I consider the finest of Tarantino's work. The most mature film of his excellent filmography

One of the most underrated Tarantino movie, definitely not his typical one but a great one. The conversation between the characters was so good that it was enough to create tension instead of relying on action sequence. Humor worked as well. Thankfully they didn't stick to reality and made a fictional climax and plot. Definitely recommend you to watch it.
