Invincible

Solid, feel good movie.

FLY EAGLES FLY Just like Vince Papale, this movie has a ton of heart. A true underdog story, it's impossible to not root for this guy. Invincible checks all the boxes for the cliche sports movie, and I love it. Seeing the little boy with 83 taped to his back, pointing to his friends in the stadium, "Papale at the 40, the 30...", there are multiple moments that gave me the chills. While the stakes don't ever feel very high and the drama doesn't always pay off, this is a feel-good film that I could watch any Sunday with my family. Based on the life of Vince Papale who was a player for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1976 to 1978 and starring Mark Wahlberg as Vince. This is an uplifting movie with a good performance from Mark Wahlberg. Greg Kinnear and Elizabeth Banks also do a good acting job, the rest of the cast is forgettable. There are some interesting uses of computer graphics in this movie as they portray real life football stars from the era, but never come so close to see their faces. I feel the finale is unique as it is about the second game of the season instead of a bigger game like the Super Bowl or an important game to the season. It does work well though. I think there is enough good stuff here to recommend a viewing.

A great family watch, a great NFL story, casting was fantastic.

80/100 - a solid film and a classic at that. mark whalberg plays the role well. almost on par with the film The Replacements, another football film starring Keanu Reeves.

Incredible movie, one of my favourite film of all time.

A brilliant film, this film highlighted a true story of a young man's struggles with rising to greatness as a local lad and the difficulty in carrying the expectation of a whole town/city on his shoulders, it was subtle and didn't oversell a true story, one of my favourite sporting films based on a true story, recommended!

The greatest 01 hour: and 44 minutes based on the true-life story of how a Philadelphia bartender won as a quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool story. Fun watch and good acting

It might have its share of cheesy moments and, in my opinion at least, is weaker than fellow Disney sports biopics Remember the Titans and McFarland, USA but Invincible is still a well-acted, competently directed, inspired film with a gritty visual look that lets it stand out from other sports biopics. Worth at least one watch.
