Iron Sky

Would have been great as satire. Unfortunately, despite certain obvious comedic elements, it still takes itself way too seriously. Vaguely interesting for (what most likely is) its culty predictive-programming/karmic-retribution aspects.

How much meth was consumed in the making of this movie?

9.4/10 - Excellent. Superior to Sky Captain and maybe even Independence Day.

A fun B-movie. I doubt it'll be for everyone, but I enjoyed it. The VFX was surprisingly good too.

Some of the reviewers took this movie too seriously. The movie is described as a comic-science-fiction action film. It was a parody of a conspiracy theory with humorous references to other movies such as Downfall and Dr. Strangelove. The actors did a fine job, specifically Julia Dietze. Her character, Renate Richter discovers the evil that was the Nazi party.

This movie is an absolute gem. Very simple tongue-in-cheek humor that will have you entertained and laughing throughout, especially in 2023, as it has somehow predicted so much of what we've had since 2012.

Nothing really makes any sense here but it keeps you watching for no reason. AK47 & Zündapp KS 750 on the moon?

I enjoyed this movie, laughed out loud throughout. It spoofs so many targets and coordinates them intricately well. The cinematography is first-rate and the special effects as top not h as any Star Wars, Armageddon, or Independence Day. It occurs to me that people were expecting something more predictable and derivative. This flick is truly original AND full of popular cultural references. In addition, the actor's are all unknown to American audiences but each is excellent in his or her role, from main character to anonymous. This shows they had an excellent director. The narrative is cohesive and coherent, and moves at an engaging pace. Much of the humor is found in the subtleties of almost every scene. This is inevitably lost on audiences who expected the standard action sci-fi flick. Their loss. See this movie. Expect nothing. Just let it unfold before you on its own terms. You'll bust a gut, be amazed, and very glad you watched it.

I couldn't tell if they were trying to make a goofy movie or if it was just on its own.
