It: Chapter Two
audience Reviews
78% Audience Score78%- 3 of 5 starsSlow, overlong and frankly, a little less scary than the first IT. The performances were all good from the adults to the kids as well. I did not notice the CGI on the face much. Also, the ending is kinda meh. One of the bad sequels of this year. I read there is an extended cut of this film somewhere. I will change this review if i see it. Till then my rating still stands.
- 1.5 of 5 starsA lot of thing doesn't make sense.
- 5 of 5 starsScarier than the first one, at least to me.
- 3 of 5 starsI mean I liked it a lot, I am just not sure it's fore the right reasons. It's supposed to be scary, I thought it was hallarious. Me and my friends could not stop laoughing in the theater cuz it was just so funny, and that was fun, but like I said. I don't think it was supposed to be so funny. And that lame ass fight where they defeated him by saying mean stuff, that was just cringe. But I enjoyed it. I just would not reccomend it for People who want to watch a scary movie
- 3 of 5 starsNot nearly as strong on as It (2017) but delivers a stellar cast and great visuals. Less is more... way longer than it should be. This film tried to become more of an epic than the horror film it should be. Oddly enough, for the final chapter involving a murderous entity(clown), the characters never felt in any real danger as the film relied more on jump scares than tension.
- 3.5 of 5 starsIt: Chapter two was a good sequel, but like most sequels, failed to be as good as the first. The first film did a good job of focusing each specific fear to each kid while Pennywise takes its form. Chapter 2 seemed to half ass each characters personal journey and story. It seemed as though they wanted the audience to see each characters personal fears when they were alone, but they failed to pull it all together. The film felt all over the place to be honest. It did however have extremely impressive casting and acting. The actors were strong and portrayed the personalities of the original child cast well, though I did find the child actors to be much more likeable onscreen. Some scares made me jump so it's good for jump scares. All in all, I did enjoy it, but unlike the first film, I don't think I'll be watching the second chapter again.
- 5 of 5 starsIt chapter 2 is an amazing movie. The movie had a lot of scary and comedic tones to hit. I feel like that's one reason I can really enjoy it. It mixes being a scary movie with comedy. The acting itself blew my mind in a lot of parts of the movie. It really set the tone for things and can let you feel what the characters felt. I can go on and on about why I adore this movie. But I suggest watching it yourself and see how you feel about it.
- 4 of 5 starsMuch scarier than the first one and always fits with the story.
- 2.5 of 5 starsDespite the fact that I respect Stephen King and his work so much, I'd have to admit that I hated both It movies. They were only bearable. I don't like when too many spooks pop up from everywhere and there is a certain villian.
- 3.5 of 5 starsNot as scary or immersive as Chapter 1 with some pacing issues here and there but every member of the cast does a great job with portraying their child actor counterparts which made this a very enjoyable experience for me.
