It's Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong
audience Reviews
, 56% Audience Score- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThe two lead characters walk all around Hong Kong at night while they chat about share seemingly useless information in dialogue that lacks any emotion. I found this movie incredibly boring, lacking any real substance. The ending is absurd, with a cliffhanger that appears out of thin air. Possibly the worst movie I’ve ever seen.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsStrange strange movie. I wish I would have read reviews. I HATE cliffhanger movies.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWorst movie I've ever seen. Love the the actors separately, but this movie was a total waste of my time. Lines were predictable and story was monotone with no climax. I sat through it hoping that the end would be worth it. Absolutely was not. I have no idea why this movie is rated so high.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI Watched this movie in a theater when it came out with my new girlfriend in 2016, she Chinese me caucasian. I thought this is a fitting movie to see for us. At that time I didn't fully appreciate the pacing and story and the connection in this movie. I have watched it like 6 times more since, every time I watch it I fall more in love with this film. This movie hit's every aspect of an almost missed opportunity of connection and love, with so many opportunities to go their separate ways or reasons for them to pull away and never meet again. The quote in the trailer nails it... "You took a chance and went for it, you're never gonna have to look back and wonder what if" When you see the ending, you will catch the foreshadowing. The writer of the script was deep and I don't think most people will catch it. The ending was amazing, add that foreshadowing, and it is beyond epic. They are constantly on the verg of missing out on the connection threw out the movie. It was masterly done. The connections and build up to their bonding and escalate into a missed lost opportunity to a random re encounter/re connection, to a ending that will always make you wonder. The story was perfect, the acting was perfect, the scenes, and camera work, directing. This movie makes China look so beautiful also. and They are in a real life relationship and their chemistry was prefect. From the other reviewer "Some of the cinematography was beautiful" it really was, they did masterful job at making Honk Kong look so good. Highly Highly recommended.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsVery unique, amazing chemistry
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsSupremely cheesy but it actually showed some feelings in the end and it's all in Hong Kong.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsFantastic movie most of the way but has the WORST ENDING IN HISTORY!!! It's one of those great movies that you can't wait to see how it ends. It is by far the most annoying and frustrating ending that I have ever seen. Why didn't this great movie become a HUGE success? The ending F'ing SUCKS!!!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI really liked this movie. It reminded me a lot of another favorite movie io mine; Lost in Translation. Loved the scenes of Hong Kong and although I didn't love the female lead character, she and the male lead have amazing chemistry. Contrary to what I thought, this is not a romance, but it hints at it in the slightest. Normally movies that have a lot of dialog but not a lot of substance don't appeal to me, but this one did. I counted only three swear words in this way too short movie. It really could have been ten times longr; especially with the way it ended. Honestly it drove me crazy, but I'm sure that the director had a very good reason for ending it the way it ended. Still, I really enjoyed it. When a movie goes by too fast, it's definitely a good sign. I'm going to watch it again soon
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsTwo awful people, both of which have serious partners, decide to venture off together in the city. By the end of the night, they question whether or not they should be together. How about breaking off your current relationship before starting a new fling? The characters are douchebags.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe acting was rough at times but couldn't pull myself away and liked the characters/story. Great to see Hong Kong at night during a simpler time.
