It's What's Inside
audience Reviews
, 69% Audience Score- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIt felt like a (way too) long and tedious episode of Black Mirror. It would have worked perfectly as a 50-minute episode, but as a feature film, there’s about 50 minutes too many. The story only really starts after the first hour, and everything before that is pointless and painfully boring. The direction is a disaster. The director tried to give it a ‘New Wave’ style by using a 1.66 aspect ratio — a format used only in Europe and only in the 1960s, and abandoned for a reason. The ending is nothing original either; it’s the same old body-swap trope we’ve seen a thousand times. Just barely passable as a film.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsAn EXTREMELY original take on the body swap trope. This has cult classic potential. The plot is original and engaging. The execution and cinematography are exactly what's needed. The acting is solid, but was lacking JUST A BIT to make this an easy 5 stars. I'd recommend this to anyone who is in the mood for a "body swap" movie with a few dark twists. Might even be something I re-watch in the future.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsThrilling and exhilarating. Definitely has a twist that is widely unexpected.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsGood concept bad execution, the movie is confusing, overly sexual for no reason. The cast is quite good I want to see some of them in better movies, its not a disaster but it's a watch it while you do the dishes kind of movie.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is the best, tempestuous, on-the-edge-of-my-seat thing I've watched in forever. I avoid watching movies and prefer series because most movies are colossal intellectual disappointments, if not painfully cliche. This sure did the trick and left my head aching with wonder and satisfaction. Must see!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsPlease don't watch it, really a complete waste of your time. Pure rubbish.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsSmart film, tightly plotted, full of surprises, with a clever premise that's hard to follow but ultimately rewarding. Lot's of twists and turns and a vein of dark humour running through it. All the other reviewers saying the characters were unlikeable and their relationships too dramatic - that's kinda the point. They're not supposed to be likeable. Thoroughly enjoyable psychological thriller.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsFor creativity, 10/10. The execution was good, but unravelled a bit towards the end. All in all, a jolly good romp and one I would definitely recommend to others.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe starting is a bit slow but it slowly ramps up and the story plot is very mind-blowing and creative. Worth to watch!
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsI could feel my brain cells dying as I watched this. It's like a fifteen-year-old tried to write a movie after watching a season of Black Mirror. Calling this garbage "science fiction" is an insult to the genre.
