- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsA failed action movie in 2 hours and 3 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsIn 2016, Paul Greengrass was back to the Bourne franchise to try to save this storyline after the lackluster Bourne Legacy from 2012. Without the screenwriting from Tony Gilroy, starting fresh, Paul Greengrass had the task of trying to get this series to its full closure, or at least reigniting the fanbase passion to maintain yet another trilogy on top of the original trilogy. Did he succeed? Not quite. For starters, Matt Damon is back, which is a huge plus because Matt just works better as a secret ops than Jeremy Renner, sorry. Something with Jeremy and his character Aaron Cross was just off. The plot is the same ol', same ol': CIA ends up stumbling into Bourne, now Bourne must try to get off the grid again. Meanwhile, people in CIA might notice CIA is just cleaning their dirty laundry. Looks like the plot from the previous three entries? Well, that is because it sort of it, but condensed into one film. The cast is strong and they play their role nicely. This film is serious in tone, so the atmosphere is solid and entertaining. The budget got its justification, and gross worldwide at least made up for their expendings, so it seems, so Jason Bourne (2016) is a successful movie. But, for the franchise, it is yet just another movie. Rumors raise the possibility of a sixth movie, but we are yet to see confirmation, even in 2025. Overall, Jason Bourne (2016) works, it is better than The Bourne Legacy, but its predictability just makes it pass by without high praise, even though, funningly enough, it won a award as best action movie by Critics Choice.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsA little slow, but I recommend it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI didn't like it as much as the previous Jason Bourne movies, and I don't think it's the best sendoff for the series. However, it was still really fun to watch and had a lot of intense and awesome moments that left me hooked. I definitely recommend it for action fans!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsFascinating and unfortunate that the same and similar pieces from the original trilogy just didn't work. There was something off from the jump here
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIf you’re watching 5th Bourne you know what’s coming, you’ve seen all 4, you wanted more and Jason delivered. Edge of the seat from the word „go”, a cherry on top of the cake to finish with, you won’t be disappointed.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsNot quite as good as the trilogy films but it past the test. Bourne is a character you can never be bored with. Tim Treakle
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA solid and entertaining Bourne movie. It has good production quality, impressive stunts and a coherent storyline. But it does lack in creativity and originality. Perhaps the Asset could have found better ways to prove his toughness other than knock off innocent people in bunches. It made him rather cliche. And Bourne seemed to be quite invisible when it suited the scene. He just pulled his cap down to thwart serveillance.
