- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAbsolute masterpiece, a very unique animated movie and the animation just fits perfectly with it. Totally recommended
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI more into the series than the movie 5.3/10
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsJimmy Neutron: Boy Genius is a good movie with a good story, decent writing, great jokes and decent characters, while the animation can look dated by today standards but it's perfectly fine for what it is. This movie shows that Nickelodeon was at their prime during the early 2000s.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsMovie just slaps so hard
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThe CG is incredibly ugly. It looks like it was animated 5 years ago. Seriously, the half-completed animated storyboards I've seen for "Toy Story" look better than this tripe. The dialogue is terrible, the characters are terrible, the whole bloody mess is terrible.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsLocated somewhere, according to Slant's Ed Gonzalez, "between the absurd and the downright lame," Jimmy Neutron will go down as a film that celebrates the last generation of children who would go to great lengths to save their parents.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsOdd movie, but I enjoyed Jimmy Neutron personally.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars"Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" has an interesting history. It was among the first group to be nominated for the category of "Best Animated Feature" as the Oscars. It was still the early days of computer-generated animation style. Originally it was planned as a pilot for the "Jimmy Neutron" TV series. It was then greenlit for a theatrical release. A similar strategy would happen for "Star Wars: the Clone Wars". This was also the early days of some Disney animation problem years. They were sending other TV show cartoon movies to theatres. Stuff like "Recess: School's Out" and "Teacher's Pet" made the Disney feel cheap. Meanwhile Nickelodeon did movies for "Rugrats", "Wild Thornberry's" and "Hey Arnold!". "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" is a step above these other TV show movies. But that isn't the most impressive accomplishment. I really enjoyed the Jimmy Neutron TV Series; this movie is not the best showing for this show's quality. I don't think anyone would include this their top 10 episodes list. The animation, voice acting, and storytelling gets much better over the show's lifetime. The movie is not without its charm. It is a simple and fun story. There is some escapism with kids being able to run a town without adults, go on space adventures and ride on amusement park rides. Likewise, a simple, 'be careful what you wish for', 'listen to your parents' lesson for the kids. All the obstacles are overcome either insultingly easy, or comedically easy. The finale has one of the biggest, "why didn't you just do that to begin with?" moments in any movie. The characters and premise are a lot of fun, but it isn't fully utilized until the TV series. It may not be genius, but it could be fun for a boy.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsThe first time I watched this movie I was 6 years old and it was being playing on Nickelodeon here in Chile, Jimmy Neutron is very good, nice, excellent movie, no wonder I remember the first time I watched the movie just like yesterday, but that happened in July 2017, now it's Oct 25, 2024. Thanks for reading this post review
