Joe Dirt
audience Reviews
, 64% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is a classic hero’s quest tale with a lovable, little-engine-that-could-esque protagonist. Yes there is crass humor, but the comedy, storyline, and cast of characters is far more nuanced and well developed than what I tend to expect from the comedies of the era. David Spade, Christopher Walken, and yes, even Kid Rock are a blast to watch. Heartwarming. The critics got it wrong, just like everyone in town did about poor Joe.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of my favs up there with anchorman and zoolander. Hilarious classic
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsIs it a good movie? Absolutely not. Does it make any sense? Not really. Is it one of the best comedies of the 2000s? Again, no. But it came out when I was 11 years old and I loved it then so I still love it now.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsFantastic comedy and a lot of fun to watch. Keep in mind this is a comedy about a homeless hillbilly trying to find his parents. Don’t be expecting an Oscar winning drama. Just turn your brain off and enjoy it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWell, it's David Spade, that should be enough. Silly, stupid, dumb fun. Enjoy!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsTimeless goofy ah movie.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsJoe dirt is a great movie. The hate it received was unnecessary it’s like the critics didn’t even watch the movie with an open mind. The only movies they watch are probably serious movies jeez what a bunch of losers.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsJoe Dirt is not a good movie but that’s what makes it so great. There is virtually no real plot and its main goal seems to be to gross you out but there is something enduring all the same about Joe and his journey to find his parents. Like Did Where’s My Car, you can’t turn it off once you start no matter how appalling it is.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsIgnore the paid critics. Never understood what qualifies them to have such a job anyway. Most of em are out of touch with whatever younger people are into to begin with. But this was actually good for its targeted audience. Couldn't stop watching this trainwreck of a character. Wish there was still comedies like this being made. Or more comedies period. This turned out to be a cult classic
