Although more fun than its predecessor, Dominion does feel somewhat bloated and a little lackluster as the grand finale of the first Jurassic World trilogy. It is so much fun to see old characters come back and interact with the new ones, but the constant nods to previous films can feel more than a little condescending. And the jam packed cast of characters seems to slow down the movie in places, into completely ridiculous territory.

    Great dinosaur action!

Questionable creative liberties taken, but seeing the OG crew is great. Characters are never in any real danger which lowers the stakes and intensity. Dinosaurs look amazing though. Overall, the cons outweigh the pros.

Truly awful. This movie kept going on when it should have stopped on the title screen. It was one of the worst things i’ve seen today, it saddens me that such cash grabs make it to the big screen

I couldn’t wait for this to end. Even the reunion of the original three cast members didn’t seem to help this one. Disappointing after how this trilogy started off.

**Jurassic World Dominion (Extended Edition) – 3.5★** I wasn’t a fan when I saw *Dominion* in theaters—felt like a flat 2.5 stars. But after hearing the extended cut added more depth, I gave it another shot… and I’m glad I did. The new opening immediately grabbed my attention, setting a better tone than the theatrical version ever did. Seeing the original trio back on screen was incredibly nostalgic—Goldblum, Dern, and Neill still have that charm. Thanks to *Camp Cretaceous* and *Chaos Theory*, the Malta sequence landed much better for me this time around. The added scenes flesh out the story and characters just enough to make it feel more than just a generic action blockbuster. That said, the story is still pretty thin, and it leans heavily on spectacle. The final act is bloated with too many characters, none of whom ever feel truly in danger. It’s fun, sure, but lacks emotional weight. You don’t really get to *know* anyone. Still, it’s an entertaining ride, and the extended version earns its extra star. It’s a better, more layered film—definitely worth your time if the theatrical cut left you underwhelmed. **Verdict: Skip the original—watch the extended and enjoy.**

Jurassic World: Dominion leaves quite a disappointing impression, struggling to find its footing from start to finish. The film gets bogged down in a plot that often feels far-fetched, stringing together twists and turns that appear out of nowhere, as if inserted purely to keep things moving without any real logic. It leans heavily on nostalgia, bringing back iconic characters from the original trilogy. Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and company reunite with the heroes from the World series in a mashup that, on paper, feels almost like an Avengers-style crossover meant to save the world. I was genuinely curious to see how this mix of old and new would play out, but in the end, it served no real purpose. Their presence amounts to nothing more than an easy, lazy nod to fans rather than any meaningful addition to the story. On top of that, the film is riddled with incredibly ridiculous dialogue and situations that only further undermine the whole experience. Granted, the special effects are impressive - that much has to be acknowledged - but they’re nowhere near enough to rescue this disaster of a film. Despite all its promises of spectacle, the movie doesn’t really tell a solid story. There’s practically no suspense, the stakes remain vague, and the editing is often so messy that it makes the whole thing hard to follow. In the end, it’s mostly just a string of flashy scenes with little emotion or cohesive narrative thread. Honestly, even if you’re curious, save yourself the time and just rewatch Jurassic Park from 1993 for the hundredth time - that film is still pure cinematic joy. The only thing this movie deserves is the time I’ve spent writing this review. It exists solely to cash in on people’s nostalgia.

That's an interesting way to end a new Trilogy... bringing back the OGs survivors. It's memorable for those that are nostalgic... but being honest... I'm a big JP/JW stan... It's my favorite movie franchise, but there were too many important characters that we know that won't become dino lunch. There were too little people becoming part of the food chain. And it's not the first time... JW: Fallen Kingdom did the same. Part of the fun is to try to guess how and when those characters are gonna be eaten and which of them are going to survive. Be honest... Did you think Samuel L. Jackson was going to say his goodbyes by just leaving just his arm as a memory of him? who kills SLJ??? Well... the OG movie did it. Time to renew the franchise and to go crazy with the feast. Points to the fact that they made the story more "global", making them fly around turning it into a more survival/rescue/investigation movie. Brought something new to the franchise... but... where's horror?!!!!!

A Jurassic sequel gone bad... I don't know why the try to complex things all the time? It gets tiring... Write a good script and roll with it, not every scene has to be full of action.
